High on the mountain peak, in a well-seen abode, On one side, amidst the woods, various chariots dwell. And those beautiful ones who bring joy, residing in the Wishing Tree, Residing by mingled banks and dense thicket banks. (16na) Residing in the essence of jewels, acting overtly, With golden cave houses and the shadows of garlands. With high and low red lines, and diverse adornments, Engaging in union and acting subtly. Attached to the sound of songs, and radiating splendor, Like the full moon's abode, and the Sala tree. Paired, going forth with eyes open and eyes closed, With excellent and grand body color, and jewels hanging. Residing in harmonious surroundings, acting loftily, These are the supreme splendors, shining, undiminished. These are the names of the thirty-three gods. Furthermore, in the center is the palace of Indra, the perfectly victorious mansion, which is square, with each side fifty leagues, and five and a half leagues high, surrounded by one hundred and one jeweled battlements. Outside of this, there is a golden iron wall, each side two thousand five hundred leagues, and two and a half leagues high. The ground is naturally golden, adorned with one hundred and one different hues of various jewels, and as soft as cotton. Its foundation is supported by sixteen thousand jeweled pillars, with walls constructed of beams and rafters. At the four great gates in the four directions, five hundred armored sons of gods guard each gate. With four great streets and numerous small streets, it is a beautiful city to behold. To its east, there is a garden of various chariots, a thousand leagues in circumference; similarly, to the south, there is the Rough Transformation Garden; to the west, there is the Mixed Garden; and to the north, there is the Joyful Garden—these are the grounds of the pleasure groves. Again, outside of these, in the northeast corner of the beautiful city, there is a wish-fulfilling tree called "Yongdu Satol" (All-Gathering Earth-Piercing), which is fifty leagues deep in the earth and rises one hundred leagues high.
