The great master bestowed empowerment, expounded tantras, and imparted instructions to the ācārya Ārya, entrusting him with the teachings of Secret Mantra. The ācārya himself, having heard from various tutelary deities, composed a concise sādhana (《略轨仪轨》) and a blended sūtra (《合流经》) for the generation stage of tantra in general, and specifically for Guhyasamāja. For the completion stage, he authored the great treatise known as the "Five Stages" (《五次第论》). His spiritual son, Āryadeva, authored the "Lamp of Condensed Conduct" (《摄行灯论》), which clarifies and expands upon the meaning of these ārya treatises without becoming convoluted or relying on other supplemental works. He also wrote smaller treatises such as "Self-Blessing of the Illusory Body" (《幻身自加持》). The ācārya's direct disciple, Nāgabodhi, composed the "Twenty Maṇḍala Rituals" (《二十坛城仪轨》), "Stages of the Generation Stage" (《生起次第次第论》), and "Distinguishing the Extremes of the Completion Stage" (《圆满次第分别业边》). Candrakīrti wrote the "Clear Lamp Commentary" (《明炬论》), a commentary on the Guhyasamāja Tantra. Later, Nāropa authored the "Concise Elucidation of the Five Stages" (《五次第略明论》), and although there are approximately fifty famous treatises on Guhyasamāja in India, the aforementioned fundamental treatises and commentaries by the Āryas (referring to Nāgārjuna, Āryadeva, Nāgabodhi, and Candrakīrti) are the undisputed source texts of the Dharma. However, these were not widely propagated during the lifetime of the Ārya father and son (Nāgārjuna and Āryadeva), like the "Three Assemblies Sūtra" (《三聚经》). Instead, Ārya Nāgabodhi, the siddha (accomplished one) of Nāgārjuna, attained the rainbow body and the Vajra body, residing on Śrīparvata, and approximately seven hundred years after Nāgārjuna's parinirvāṇa, he accepted the caṇḍāla son Mātaṅgīpa and the prince Sā-ādrepa, bestowing upon them the Ārya's treatises. The ācārya Saṃgopāda from Koṅkaṇa met Candrakīrti and obtained the text of the "Clear Lamp Commentary" (《明炬论》), after which the Secret Mantra vehicle flourished and spread widely during its period of manifest propagation. Luipa, Ḍombipa, Kṛṣṇācārya, these three, established the tradition of Cakrasaṃvara. That is to say, the ācāryas Luipa, Ḍombipa, and Kṛṣṇācārya were the first to establish the chariot-like tradition of the glorious Cakrasaṃvara. Around the same time as Ācārya Asaṅga and the Tibetan King Tho-tho-ri gNyan-btsan, Ācārya Luipa appeared. He was a scribe of the King of Oḍḍiyāna, known by the name "Kuntugewa" (All-Virtuous). His first root guru was the mahāsiddha Śabaripa. He practiced in Bengal (Bhaṃgāla), eastern India, subsisting on fish entrails, and thus was known as Luipa in Indian language and "Eater of Fish Guts" (Nyal-to-pa) in Tibetan. After attaining siddhi, along with the King of Oḍḍiviśa and

The minister was subdued by magical powers. Later, the king attained the status of a mahasiddha, Darikapa, and together with his sixteen thousand retinues, attained the rainbow body (129b). The minister who attained the status of a mahasiddha was Dingipa, and together with his five hundred retinues, attained the rainbow body. This master invited (or brought forth) the *Yogini Kunsgyod Tantra* and other texts, and composed a treatise on the realization (abhisamaya) of Cakrasamvara. On that, Lavapa composed a commentary. It became extremely widespread throughout India and Tibet, and was renowned as the source (or headwaters) of the Dharma tradition of Cakrasamvara. The disciple of the mahasiddha Darikapa was Dorje Drilbupa (Vajra Ghantapa). His real name was Pal Lodro Nyingpo (Glorious Essence of Intellect). He was a scholar capable of defeating the attacks of non-Buddhists, and Vajravarahi personally prophesied about him. When he was practicing in the land of Odiyana (Odisha), at first, he did not come when invited by the king. Later, when he was with a wisdom consort, people lost faith. So, in order to subdue them, he emanated a boy and a girl. One time, when he went to the city with them, people scorned him. He struck the ground with his skull-cup, and water emerged from beneath the earth. He transformed the boy into a vajra and the girl into a bell, and held these two in his two hands. The master, in the form of the innate Cakrasamvara and consort, demonstrated the magical power of ascending into the sky, and thus became known as Dorje Drilbupa (Vajra Ghantapa). From then on, he engaged in benefiting beings through the path of Tantra. This master composed the *Cakrasamvara Body Mandala Sadhana*, the *Empowerment Ritual*, and the *Five Stages of Completion Stage*, which are renowned as the "Three Cycles of the Bell" (Drilbu Kor Sum). Although many mahasiddha disciples appeared, primarily there was Rusbal Zhabs (Kambalapa). He transmitted to Jalandharipa, who then transmitted to Nagpopa (Krishnacarya), and so forth, in succession, establishing them in the state of accomplishment. Regarding the master Nagpopa (Krishnacarya), from the Latter Tantra of Kalachakra, it states: A yogin named Nagpo, holding a khatvanga, damaru, and wine cup, will appear. And from: The Tantra of Mahakala Gonpo Ngonjung (Manifest Mahakala Protector), it states: In the land of Uruvis (Uravishya/Orissa), a person endowed with diligence and diligent in practice, in accordance with the command of Ramana, the first of the first section, the fourth of the seventh (130a), this slightly settled supreme person will attain the eight siddhis, such as the sword. 'dzam (meaning "Jambu...", the text is incomplete here).
