Because of effortless action, the spontaneous accomplishment of benefiting sentient beings is the wisdom of accomplishing activities. Secondly, it is said from "sense faculties" to "great body." Thus, when one realizes the truth on the path of seeing and attains the first ground, the delusions of the five sense faculties such as the eye are all purified, and after the abode has been transformed, each sense faculty can also engage with the five objects of form, sound, smell, taste, and touch. Therefore, each sense faculty can engage with all objects. And it becomes the foremost of all the qualities of the grounds, the foremost of all the qualities of abiding in the Joyful Ground, and can freely obtain the twelve hundred thousand qualities of the Joyful Ground. That is, in that first ground, in one instant, one can see the faces of a hundred Buddhas, can listen to the Dharma from a hundred Buddhas, can emanate a hundred emanations, can show a hundred kalpas of time, can enter into a hundred samadhis, and can also arise from those hundred samadhis, can shake a hundred Buddha-fields, can illuminate a hundred Buddha-fields with light, can open a hundred Dharma gates, can show one's own (131) hundred bodies, and each body can show being surrounded by a hundred fully adorned retinues. One is able to freely do these things. The Ornament Sutra says: "When the five sense faculties transform their abode, they can enter all objects and all, twelve hundred thousand qualities arise." Furthermore, the second ground has twelve thousand qualities, the seventh ground has twelve hundred million qualities, the eighth ground has twelve equal to the number of dust particles in a hundred thousand kotis of Buddha-fields, the ninth ground has twelve equal to the number of dust particles in countless hundred thousand kotis of Buddha-fields, and the tenth ground has twelve equal to the number of dust particles in countless kotis of hundred thousand kotis of Buddha-fields. As before, one will be able to freely see the faces of the Buddhas, etc. This should also be understood from the sutras. The Sutra of the Ten Grounds also has such a statement. That very freedom, perfected and ultimate, in the Buddha-ground is called the wisdom of accomplishing activities. The function of that wisdom is to emanate immeasurable, unimaginable, and limitless emanations of various kinds in all realms of the world, thereby accomplishing the benefit of all sentient beings (132). And because it is so, the Ornament Sutra says: "The wisdom of accomplishing activities, in all realms, various"

Likewise. The immeasurable and inconceivable emanations accomplish the benefit of all sentient beings. Thus it is said. Such wisdom that accomplishes activities is the great emanation body among the three bodies. Among them, the Buddha's emanation body performs the benefit of others through various uncertain emanations. If divided, it is like the supreme emanation showing the twelve deeds, such as Shakyamuni Buddha, and the craftsman emanation, such as the Gandharva king Rabga, who emanated as a master of song to subdue others, and the birth emanation, such as the emanation as the deer king Ruru. As the Ornament says: Craftsmanship, birth, and great enlightenment, constantly showing nirvana, this Buddha's emanation body is a great means of liberation. Thus it is said. Thus, the way in which the three bodies are transformed from the pure consciousness of sentient beings is also as stated in the Noble Golden Light Sutra: By abandoning the alaya consciousness, the Dharma body is shown. By purifying the mind that abides in it, the enjoyment body is shown. By purifying the consciousness that engages with objects, the emanation body is shown. Thus it is said. The sixth has two parts: the actual topic and (133) the examination of the limits of the body. The first is: From mind and intellect, they are regarded as the body. Thus it is said. The mind, the alaya, the intellect, the afflicted mind, and the six consciousnesses, all of which are free from defilements and whose abodes have been completely transformed, the activities and deeds of the three bodies are: the sphere of all dharmas, complete and indivisible in the mandala that is free from all the elaborations of grasping and being grasped, without existence in samsara and nirvana, without difference in lineage and meaning, without beginning and end, neither one nor different, abiding in freedom from all the elaborations of the characteristics of those aspects, are regarded as the wisdom of the sphere of reality and the essence body. As the Ornament says: Since they are not different, they are also not one. It is considered that this is what is being explained. The meaning of that wisdom is: having been freed from the clouds of the two obscurations, like the purity of space, the thusness of the sphere of reality, which is completely pure, becomes the source from which the sublime dharmas and wisdom arise. As the sutra says: The thusness of all dharmas is characterized by the stains of the two obscurations. Thus, etc. (134) it is said.
