The way of explanation is merely to show dependent origination. The first part has two parts: asking and answering. The first part is: From "Then" to "What is the nature?" Thus it is said. After the oath was spoken, all the yoginis, from the Selfless Mother and so on, said to the Blessed One: What are those objects to be grasped that were previously mentioned as the basis for practice? What are those who particularly have a dominating function, each directed towards different meanings?

Adding 'byung gyur pa', it becomes twelve. Tactile objects include smoothness, roughness, heaviness, lightness, softness, and laxity. Non-laxity, cold, hunger, thirst, satiety, weakness, large and small. Fainting, itching, stretching, sickness, old age, death, fatigue. Rest, goosebumps, totaling twenty-two. Dharma realm is a compound. (441) It arises from a collection of compounds. It arises from manifest opportunities, correct acquisition. Eight: imputation, power, feeling, thought, formation. Uncompounded are the three suchnesses of virtue, non-virtue, and the unspecified. Space, cessation, and absorption without perception. Cessation by examination, non-examination, cessation, thus explained as eight. So it is said. The faculties that particularly dominate objects are six. The eye faculty that dominates form is like a saffron flower. The ear faculty that dominates sound is like a rolled-up paper scroll. The nose faculty that dominates smell is like overlapping copper needles. The tongue faculty that dominates taste is like a crescent moon. The body faculty that dominates touch is like the soft skin of a bird. According to the tenets of different schools, there are three views regarding these: considering the five objects of the Alaya consciousness as faculties; considering them as seeds or potentials; and considering them as tangible substances. The mind faculty that dominates dharma (442) is the six realms of consciousness and the afflicted mind. 'Likewise' means that just as the five sense consciousnesses have their own unique dominant conditions, the unique dominant condition of the sixth mind consciousness is the immediately preceding mind, which is the meaning explained in the six realms of consciousness. Immediately after the cessation of the six, whatever consciousness there is, that is the mind. So it is said. Alternatively, some consider the afflicted mind as that. When explaining the seventh mind, there is the seventh mind enveloped by the four afflictions, the seventh mind enveloped by white dharmas such as generosity, and the seventh that is not included in either of these two, which is the immediately preceding mind, thus there are three classifications. Therefore, these intermediate states of the non-abiding mind are considered as the six faculties. These six are inseparably associated with the six, such as the vajra of ignorance. The six external objects, such as form, and the internal object-possessors, such as the eye faculty,

The six transform into the twelve sources of birth, (443)by the meaning of opening the door to suffering and enjoyment. The five aggregates are the aggregate of form, which includes causes and effects, and others; the aggregate of feeling, which includes pleasure, pain, and indifference, as indicated by "etc."; the aggregate of perception, which includes signs and the absence of signs; the aggregate of formation, which includes mental events that are associated with the mind and those that are not; and finally, the aggregate of consciousness, which is described at the end of these as the eight collections of consciousness, with the aspect of meaning. These five, which were just spoken of after calling to Zhubu as "Great Compassion," are aggregates because they are piled up with many similar kinds. Similarly, if divided into realms, there are the six sense-organ realms, the six object realms, and the six sense-consciousness realms. These are summarized for the sake of the questioner, the yoginis, so that the beings to be tamed may understand. The eighteen realms are taught as the six aspects of enjoyment of the past and present, held by the two bodies completely. (444)Thus, the conventional truth is taught. The definitive meaning of these is in the Sambuta: "Form is the Buddha Vairochana," etc. And it also appears in the Gur, as mentioned briefly in the previous chapter on Suchness, so it is easy to understand. The second is from "nature" to "know." It is said that the nature of those things that appear as objects of the senses, etc., in the conventional truth, is unborn from the beginning, from beginningless time, and does not move from the ultimate truth. However, because the appearance of delusion does not deceive in the conventional, it is not false. And because the appearance of arising, ceasing, and abiding is not established at all in the ultimate, it is not true. Thus, abandoning the two extremes of true and false, all phenomena are appearance, awareness, and emptiness, a union, like the image of the moon in the sky appearing in water. The wise ones who realize Suchness as it is desire that the meaning of appearance without established nature should also be known by the assembly of yoginis. Such is the (445)meaning, the blessing of the holy guru.
