又或号 (374)叫之梵语raurava(梵文天城体:रौरव,梵文罗马拟音:raurava,汉语字面意思:号叫)亦可作喧嚣解。

Therefore, this is superior for the purpose of this matter. As long as one remains in samsara, there is no other superior means. Also, the vidyadhara, by familiarizing oneself with the mudras of karma, dharma, and samaya, immediately and quickly manifests signs such as warmth. Secondly, from fear and madness, it is said, "The place of howling." As it is said, having briefly explained the time of practice before, the distinctions of warmth are extensively explained here. Having meditated in this way, once the yogi has obtained warmth, at all times thereafter, he will not be able to be frightened or intimidated by humans or non-humans, and will be liberated from the fear of the lower realms. Because of being deluded by mental illness and the power of demons, one will not become mad, and likewise, there will be no contagious diseases such as leprosy and smallpox, and no suffering of the mind. Separated from desire, (373)The sorrow and suffering of encountering the undesirable will never arise. There will be no bondage or harm from kings, etc., or harm from rakshasas, etc. Attachment to pleasant places, hatred to unpleasant places, and ignorance to neutral places, therefore, even the great three poisons of afflictions cannot cause affliction. The practitioner is not afflicted, and because of obtaining patience, it is certain that he will go beyond the path of accumulation. Benefiting others, that is, subduing those to be tamed, and harming, that is, being able to subdue the wicked, these great benefits of this life and the next will arise. Thus, once oneself and others have definitely known and realized it, and act accordingly, what is the reason for that? Even for a moment, how could yogis remain in the howling hells, etc., not going or not remaining? The words below do not appear in this translation, but they appear consistently in other translations and Chinese commentaries. Or the Sanskrit word for howling, (374)raurava (梵文天城体:रौरव,梵文罗马拟音:raurava,汉语字面意思:号叫), can also be interpreted as clamor. Such a yogi, because of possessing clamor, is explained as not remaining even for a moment. Ngokpa and his followers, and the glorious Rangjung Zhap also thought in this way: A little warmth itself is fear of the lower realms, and the madness of the deluded mind, and the suffering of samsara, etc.

Not being harmed by the suffering of sorrow, and not being disturbed by afflictions such as desire, is a medium heat sign; through views and so on, being able to manifestly produce the fruits of benefit and harm is considered a sign of obtaining great heat. Therefore, in wisdom and conduct, it is necessary to obtain great heat, because in this way one can exert the power of one's own realization, thereby obtaining a great position, and be able to subdue others. Other wise ones consider that from "destroying madness" to "not being afflicted" is a small heat sign; producing either the fruit of benefit or harm is a medium heat sign; producing both is said to be a sign of great heat. The third is, from the uninterrupted sins, there will definitely be accomplishment. (375) Thus it is said, this shows the greatness of the Vajrayana method as being particularly superior. The so-called uninterrupted sins, if one commits these sins, after death there is no other interval, one will fall into the uninterrupted hell. These sins include killing one's own parents and arhats, creating discord in the sangha, and harming the Tathagata with malicious intent, these five sins are the actions committed. There are also those who like to kill many lives, like butchers; and others who are born into lowly births, such as women or outcastes, who are regarded as lowly by the world; those who are ignorant of karma and its fruits, and do not understand what to take and what to abandon; and those who forcibly take what should not be taken without permission, such as stealing, committing evil non-virtuous actions; and ugly images that should not be looked at, with incomplete limbs. By analogy, even those born in various unfree places should confess the sins they have committed in the past, and abide by the precepts in the future, and with firm faith believe in the secret mantra, (376) By remembering the key points of the method taught by the guru, and striving to practice yoga, then these people can also, through the signs just mentioned, accomplish the desired attainments in other or this life. If those who commit such evil actions can accomplish things at will, then those who turn away from the ten non-virtuous actions and practice the ten virtuous actions, thereby habituating their minds, that is, those who have cultivated deeply in the past; and those who can respectfully rely on the guru without regard for body and life, and who subdue their faculties through faith, diligence, samadhi, and wisdom, making them workable, and the seven types of pride mentioned earlier, etc.
