And it is also a desire, and it possesses a vast and great assembly. (64) Thus, the four divisions are like the basis from which the eighteen divisions and others are separated. Internally, the root of all Bodhicitta, from the four root wheels, all the subtle veins that generate bliss are separated, therefore all are summarized as parts of the four wheels. In this root tantra and union, why is the emanation shown? The wheel of emanation is constant. Because the dharmas are uttered in speech, the Sarvastivada Dharma wheel. Because taste is experienced in the throat, the enjoyment wheel is revered by many. Because one dwells for the sake of great bliss, the great bliss wheel is very vast. The division is said to be in the body. Thus it is said. Third, regarding the winds that move in them, there are two: nature and timing. The first is, "From the moon to Kali," and so on. That is, according to the general meaning, the moon shows the daytime, the sun shows the nighttime, Ali shows the white side, and Kali shows the red side of the dharmas. According to the hidden meaning, the moon is the wind or semen of the left nostril, and the sun is the wind or blood of the right nostril. These two are considered to move from the two veins in the form of Ali and (65)Kali. Some consider the moon and sun to be mainly bindus, and Ali and Kali to be mainly nadi letters. Dakpo Tashi Namgyal and others consider the moon and sun to be the nature of semen and blood, the Haṃ(藏文:ཧཾ་,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:హం)of the crown chakra and the short A of the navel chakra. Ali and Kali are the nature of wisdom and means, the white Hūṃ(藏文:ཧཱུྃ་,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:हुं)of the heart chakra and the red Oṃ(藏文:ཨོཾ་,梵文天城体:ओं,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:ओं)of the throat chakra. Although there are many such views, according to the view of Je Rangjung Dorje, the moon is the nectar wind that flows from the left nostril, and the five mandalas flow between space, wind, fire, water, and earth, in the order in which the outer vessel world is created. The sun is said to be the poison wind that flows from the right nostril, and the five elements flow in the order of collecting the elements between earth, water, fire, wind, and space. From where does it flow? Ali, that is, the nature of skillful sound, from the left vein, and Kali, that is, the nature of wisdom that illuminates, flows sequentially from the right vein. It should be known that these two winds of right and left action also transform into the ten root and branch winds from the perspective of function. (66) It should also be known that they transform into the ten root and branch winds from the perspective of function.

Secondly, it says, "From 'transfer' to 'all are four.'" Because this tantra only speaks of four chakras, the outward-moving winds also have four minor elements in each of the four major elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, namely earth of earth, water of earth, fire of earth, wind of earth, and so on. Therefore, in one day, the wind transfers sixteen times in the left and right nostrils. Each major transfer obtains one thousand three hundred and fifty breaths, totaling twenty-one thousand six hundred in one day. Each major transfer is divided into four parts, each part being one finger-length, so there are sixty-four finger-lengths in one day. The sixteen transfers are divided into left and right, with two finger-lengths as a unit, which in this tantra is converted into hours, and in the Kalachakra it is called a moment, totaling thirty-two. The duration of two thousand seven hundred breaths is called a 'thun,' and there are four such 'thuns' in the daytime and four at night, so there are eight 'thuns' in one day. This is the literal or general meaning, the secret meaning is that the throat's vein petals transfer sixteen times, the navel's (67)vein petals are sixty-four finger-lengths, the crown's vein petals are thirty-two hours, and the heart's vein petals are eight 'thuns' day and night, one should understand that this is the meaning of purification. Thus, wheel, letter, consort, body, vajra, truth, only, instant, joy, bhuta, transfer, thun, stage, mudra, and so on, all should be understood as being fourfold. Here, the determination of the finger-length, the practice of understanding with drawings, the way of meditation, the remaining meaning of the qualities, and so on, all should be understood from the sayings of the omniscient self-born father and son. Thirdly, the method to manifest those wisdoms, Tummo, is, starting from the navel, "ཧྃ་ (Tibetan, हं, Devanagari, ham, Romanization, meaning emptiness) drips." Thus it is said. The meaning of this verse is explained in the order of the four mudras. First, in conjunction with the path of action mudra, the action mudras of lineage holders, lotus holders, and so on, are Tummo. The word navel indicates the secret space, blessing it with the three recognitions, from the union of Kunturu, the Tummo of the navel blazes, experiencing the four joys, (68)thereby burning the conceptual thoughts of the Tathagata clinging to the five aggregates, burning the elements of earth, water, fire, and wind, the eye-mother, etc., are also burned and melted, from the melting, the pure element, the rabbit-holder ཧྃ་ (Tibetan, हं, Devanagari, ham, Romanization, meaning emptiness) drips, the secret place.
