Is the teacher. Here are three: connection, the actual text of the chapter, and the name of the chapter. First, from "then" to "do," it is said that immediately after speaking about conduct, "Tstshoma" is a gesture, which is the realm of mutual conduct between male and female yogis, indicating gestures arising from bodily transformations. (208) The chapter to be explained. By stating the main point in this way, other aspects are included as secondary. Second, indicating gestures and places, etc., the actual text has seven parts: how to make gestures, gestures for gathering with what, places for gathering where, how to use the gathering at the time, yoga and conduct, the meaning of the four letters, and the indication of the yoga of eating. First, from "whose brother" to "distinguish" is indicated, that the yogi of conduct uses what gesture, if it is a yogi, know that it is a brother, and if it is a yogini, it is undoubtedly a sister. Those gestures of fingers, etc., are considered to be the actions of the left hand of women and the right hand of men. Among them, the preceding words, such as saying what, are questions urged by gestures, and the subsequent words are to know the gestures combined with the answer. First, the gesture of recognizing and greeting is, when Vajra yogis and yoginis meet, the questioner extends one finger of the left hand through the gesture to indicate (209) is asking whether you have come well from the same samaya. To this, the other party puts two fingers together to indicate, answering that they have come well, which is understood as the indication of the realization of skillful means and wisdom. The questioner puts the thumb of the left hand inside and holds it between the middle and index fingers to indicate, which is the gesture of asking if they are well and plowing. Know that those are the mudras of asking about illness, which is the indication of combining bliss and emptiness, and only using the left hand to indicate is the indication of answering that they are very well. The hidden meanings of those are that one finger is urging the lotus of wisdom, two are the fingers joining to draw the thread, the left hand is the space of wisdom, the thumb is the secret place of skillful means, and holding is said to mean those equally joining. Then is the instruction.

To inquire whether language and vows are consistent, regarding the expression of the degree of realization, inquiring about the degree of realization of empowerment: (210) The ring finger refers to the third finger counted from the fingers, so any questioner who extends the ring finger, that is, showing the ring finger, is asking whether they have realized the nameless bliss of the third empowerment. In response, the respondent extends the little finger, which means that not only has the third empowerment been realized, but also the fourth empowerment, because the little finger is the fourth finger counted from the fingers. Asking about the middle way: the middle finger is the middle of the five fingers, so any questioner who shows the middle finger is asking whether they abide in the path of the middle way. The index finger is close to the middle finger, so to express closeness to the matter being asked, extending the index finger means acknowledging the matter being asked. Asking whether discriminating thoughts are pure: any questioner who extends the ring finger is asking whether there is no discriminating thought. In response, fully showing the throat, just as the subtle place of the body is the throat, means that subtle discriminating thoughts are also fully revealed. Expressing merit: any questioner who shows clothes (211) means asking whether they possess the garment of merit. In response, pressing the little finger with the thumb and fully showing the tips of the three fingers means possessing the yoga of channels, winds, and bindus, or possessing the three merits of bliss, clarity, and non-discrimination. As stated in the scriptures, showing the head in the position of the clothes with the feet is also recorded in other translations and Indian commentaries, which is to stretch the middle and index fingers straight. Expressing conventional bodhicitta: anyone who shows the breasts means asking whether they can stimulate the wisdom of bliss and emptiness. In response, fully showing the forehead, that is, the hairline, means having the experience of the ultimate four joys. Expressing whether ultimate bodhicitta is stable or not: anyone who puts their hand on the ground and shows the earth means asking whether they have realized suchness as firmly as the earth.
