It is said, "Perfectly enlightened." That is to say, in the expedient sense, the gods of the heretics, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, and others, all of these are part of the Buddha's emanations. Yogis also say the same in the order of experience. This is said from the expedient point of view. If explained in the definitive sense, (166)Brahma is the vajra of the body, that is, the mind of enlightenment and the wind of wisdom are stable in the hair between the eyebrows, and the Buddha himself is free from all obscurations. Because of the stability of the coemergent wisdom in the heart, the mind pervades and merges into luminosity, therefore the vajra of the heart should be called Vishnu. The illusion of dreams is also completely purified, and constantly virtuous, it transforms into extremely peaceful speech, therefore the vajra of speech of the powerful one is Shiva himself. That which abides as the nature of all things, destroying ordinary appearances with the bliss of ultimate truth, that itself is the nature of the wisdom vajra. Thus, through the four states, realizing great bliss with the mudras of action, samaya, and wisdom, it is therefore called perfectly enlightened. The third is, because of what, it is said, "Should be said." It means, because becoming a Buddha by realizing the four states as great bliss, then why? Because what arises from the coemergent body is what gives great bliss, therefore it should be clearly said to be a god. Here, the wise and accomplished Trashi Namka said that this way of explaining goes against the meaning of the scripture, so his own view is that that wisdom itself is Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, All-Being, Buddha, that Holy One himself, and can also be said to be the names of the six gods of the outsiders. The meaning of saying Brahma is that that wisdom itself is the Buddha himself, free from obscurations. Because it merges into the nature of all things, it is Vishnu, and because it constantly does good and brings happiness, it is peaceful and powerful. All-Being is that wisdom abiding in the nature of all things. Because it has become the bliss of ultimate truth, it is that Holy One himself. Because it has perfected unsurpassed bliss, it should be said to be the omniscient Buddha. Thus, the preceding and following sentences are connected in a concise and extensive way, which is the meaning of expediency. Six chakras, six objects, six sense consciousnesses, etc.

The innate purity, free from obscurations, is considered the definitive meaning. Here, Shantipa says in the "Pearl Garland": (168) Deha Sambhava (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,Born from the body). By abbreviating the words up to "born from the body," Deva (梵文:deva, god) is the god, explained as the god because it is born from the body. Its meaning is that the body with outflows is gradually purified into the pure realm, and from that arises the body without outflows, which is called the Vajra Body. From that arising, it is to be expressed as a god. This verse is understood as showing the definition of a god. If asked, why is that wisdom called a god? Is it because it itself arises from the body with the nature of the five aggregates? If it is connected to the meaning of love, it is expressed as a god because it enjoys bliss. The fourth is, from the Buddha, it is said, "Gone beyond." The literal meaning here is, when one has attained the body without outflows and is established as a Buddha, why is he called Bhagavan (梵文:Bhagavan)? Because this perfectly complete Buddha possesses the qualities of both Bhaga (梵文:Bhaga), which means fortune and destruction, he is called Bhagavan. (169) Bhaga (梵文:Bhaga) or fortune is said to be of six kinds: splendor, fame, wisdom, dominion, beauty, and diligence, fully endowed. These six are called Bhagavan. It means that he possesses all these qualities. Or, Bhaga (梵文:Bhaga) means to destroy, because he destroys the four maras of afflictions, the lord of death, the son of the gods, and the aggregates, he is called Bhagavan. The addition of "gone beyond" by the translator is not without reason, because there is the saying "gone beyond existence." Bhava (梵文:bhava) is existence, and Gata (梵文:gata) is gone beyond. Therefore, Jowoje and others believe that the letter "Ga" here indicates the meaning of going beyond. In the definitive meaning, the Buddha of meaning, the Vajra of mind, is also called Bhagavan because he possesses the qualities of Bhaga. The six forms of Bhaga are the center of the six chakras, such as the forehead, and there, the Bodhicitta bindu born from the body, the god of the nature of selflessness, is stable. Therefore, all six qualities, such as the eight powers, are attained. Or, as it is said in the secret tantras, because there is no outward flow, the maras such as afflictions are destroyed. (170)
