Inwardly, the root of all bodhicitta, all the subtle channels that generate bliss from the four root chakras, divide, so everything is summarized as part of the four chakras. In this root tantra and the union tantra it says: Because the emanation is shown, it is the emanation wheel that abides. Because the dharmas are uttered in the mouth, it is the Sarvastivada dharma wheel. Because the taste is experienced in the throat, it is the enjoyment wheel that is revered by many. Because it abides for the sake of great bliss, it is the great bliss wheel that is the majority. The group is called the body. Thus it is said. Third, there are two explanations of the winds that move in those: nature and timing. The first is: from the moon to Kali. It is said that, as in the general meaning, the moon represents the day, the sun represents the night, Ali represents the white aspect, and Kali represents the red aspect of phenomena. In the hidden meaning, the moon is the wind or bindu of the left nostril, and the sun is the wind or blood of the right nostril.

And, some that are primarily bindus are the sun and moon. Those that are primarily root letters are called Āli and Kāli. Dagpo Tashi Namgyal and others consider the sun and moon to be the nature of semen and blood, the haṃ (藏文:ཧཾ,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) of the crown chakra and the short a (藏文:ཨ་,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿) of the navel chakra. Āli and Kāli are considered to show the nature of wisdom and means, the white hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) of the heart and the red oṃ (藏文:ཨོ༚,梵文天城体:ओं,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡) of the throat. There are many such views. However, according to the view of Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, the moon is the nectar wind that flows from the left nostril. The five chakras between space, wind, fire, water, and earth flow in the order of the creation of the outer world. The sun is said to be the poison wind that flows from the right. The five chakras flow in the order of collecting the elements between earth, water, fire, wind, and space. From where do they flow? Āli, the nature of skillful sound, flows from the left channel, and Kāli, the nature of clarifying wisdom, flows sequentially from the right channel. It should be known that these two winds of right and left karma, from the perspective of function, transform into ten root and branch winds. (66) It should also be known. The second is, from transference. All are four. It is said that since only four channels and chakras are mentioned in this tantra, the outward-flowing winds also have four minor elements of earth, water, fire, and wind for each of the four major elements of earth, water, fire, and wind. Therefore, the wind transfers sixteen times between the left and right nostrils in one day. Each major transference obtains one thousand three hundred and fifty wind pockets, totaling twenty-one thousand six hundred in one day. Each major transference is divided into four parts, each part being one finger, so there are sixty-four fingers in one day. The sixteen transfers are divided into left and right, two fingers each. In this tantra, they are converted into hours, and what is called a moment in the Kalachakra is thirty-two. The duration of two thousand seven hundred breaths is called a session, so there are four such sessions during the day and four during the night, making eight sessions in one day. This is the literal or general meaning. The secret meaning is sixteen petals of the throat channel, the navel channel (67) sixty-four fingers of the channel petals, thirty-two hours of the crown channel petals, and the meaning of the eight pure day and night sessions of the heart channel.
