The names of the eight petals are Jewel, Lotus, Vajra, and Karma families, in order, Jewel Crest, Great Lotus, Great Vajra, and Great Power, etc. By the meaning of their dominion, they hold the aspects of skillful means and wisdom, because they see the appearance of form, therefore they are Great Protector, because they hold sound, therefore they are Great Sound, because they like to be near bells, therefore they are Near Joy Great, because they hold taste, therefore the taste is intoxicating, therefore they are Intoxicated Great, as it is said in the Vajra Garland. Thus, these eight petals, together with the two upper and lower tips, these parts of the wheel pervade the upper and lower parts of the body. Third, there are also two ways to explain the throat chakra: general explanation, and quoting scriptures to conclude. The first is: Throat, etc., one verse. It exists in the throat of the body, enjoying food and drink, the shape of the channels is like a wheel, or, stimulating this key point, in the dream state, the Sambhogakaya appears, and it eliminates the opposing factors to be abandoned.
