Source of secrets, Yoginis, glorious Dakinis, and the assembly of those with vows, please consider with compassion and grant unobstructed wisdom and ability to explain truthfully. Nowadays, people have weak intelligence and diligence, especially subject to the power of others due to meager fortune. Even with slight difficulties as an excuse, they abandon the excellent path of teaching and practice. Although there were many wonderful extensive commentaries in the past, most do not even hold the lineage of transmission. Thoroughly understanding the key points is like stars in the daytime. Therefore, this endeavor is not without meaning. From the second self-arisen king onwards, until the glorious Guru, the lineage of teaching and experience has never been interrupted. Therefore, taking the essence, I will explain it in an easy-to-understand way. In the teachings of the perfectly enlightened Buddha, possessing the wisdom, realization, and activity of the second Buddha, the omniscient Karmapa, Self-Arisen Vajra, whose name is famous throughout the world like the sun and moon, this is the essence of his ocean-like writings. Like the fundamental treatises of the great chariots of India, the well-known 'Profound Inner Meaning,' to explain this, there are three parts: the meaning of the title of the treatise, the explanation of the necessary connection and summary, and the sequential explanation of the actual text of the treatise. First, the treatise called 'Profound Inner Meaning.' Thus it begins: Bhagavan" } ] ============================================================

The great Vajradhara revealed the secret of the unsurpassed Vajrayana to those who have matured in the supreme empowerment, profound, and only those of the noble Bodhisattva lineage can comprehend it. The reality of actual things, as well as the path and the order of arising of the fruit. (3) Thus, as stated in the valid pramana of authentic teachings, the basis of the reality of things consists of two aspects: body and mind. The essence within the mind is the Tathagatagarbha or the co-emergent wisdom. The essence within the body is the marks and signs that arise from its own light, otherwise known as the Vajra body. As a means to realize these supports, the meaning of the support being connected with consciousness, and the manner in which the channels, winds, and bindus arise, abide, and dissolve are extensively explained, which is the inner meaning. This, for those disciples who are of supreme capacity, is relied upon in an indirect way through the commentaries of Bodhisattvas and the instructions of the great chariots. In a direct way, without relying on the power of the eye and clairvoyance, the secrets of the Vajrayana are seen as they are, and expounded in a single direction as uncommon instructions, which is referred to as a treatise. The second part has three aspects: the purpose of what is said, the summary of what is said, and the connection between the two. The first is: the self-commentary says, "Those who explain the treatises should first state the purpose, therefore it is stated." The purpose of what is said has three aspects: the essence of what is to be taught, including the unsurpassed tantras, commentaries, and instructions, which is the suchness of body, speech, and mind, the inner nature of body and mind related to the Tathagatagarbha, the ground, path, and fruit, is what is to be explained here. The profound meaning contained within the framework of the six extremes and four modes, relying on this particularly excellent treatise, is like opening a jewel box located in a dark treasury, like obtaining a lamp and a key, so that all, whether of high or low intelligence, can clearly understand, which is the purpose. Just as knowing that there is a great treasure in the house of a poor person, one desires to obtain it and strives for it, knowing that the inner nature of body and mind exists in one's own and others' continuums, in order to purify its defilements and manifest its nature, one is led by faith and understands the reality through hearing and thinking.
