Through Samatha, definitive understanding is attained. Through meditation, one initially aligns with it, and ultimately, through the yoga of familiarization with realization, one directly experiences it, progresses through the stages and paths, and attains the state of the Great Vajradhara, which is the essential purpose. Secondly, the treatise that clearly elucidates the profound inner meaning, (4) This great treatise possessing eleven chapters, in brief, can be summarized by three: the meaning of the beginning, the meaning of the main body, and the meaning of the conclusion. The first has four: Homage to the glorious and venerable Lama, His form with its aspects, Homage to the great bliss that is without distinction, and the vow to explain. The second has two: The body with its purpose is established, and it is summarized by explaining the branches in detail. The latter has eleven sections: First, the general causes and conditions of samsara and nirvana are shown. Then, in accordance with the order of generation into existence, the manner in which the body is formed. The channels in which it resides. The winds that flow in it. The bindus that rely on them. The manner in which it relates to the consciousness of the four states. The external container world is combined internally. It is combined with the generation stage of conceptualization. What is to be purified and what purifies are shown to be the same in Dharma. The order of the grounds and paths is shown. Finally, it is shown that these are destroyed and gathered together in relation to the second stage of the order. The third has three: The treasury of vidyadharas is explained through the door of conclusion. Praise and dedication are made to the activities of the Buddhas, and aspirations are made. It is summarized by showing the manner in which the composition is completed. The third connection also has three: The connection of the subject matter's own nature, and the connection of the explanatory treatise. The first is: From the Uttaratantra of the Guhyasamaja Tantra: 'The term tantra means connection. Connection also has three aspects: The basis, the nature, and the fruit, the distinction of what cannot be stolen. The basis and the nature are the cause, likewise, what cannot be stolen is the fruit. The basis is the means and wisdom, the three summarize the meaning of the tantra.' As it is said, the three tantras are connected by their own nature. Starting from truly knowing the meaning of the basis, the nature of the body, mind, and things, the key points of the order of the means of ripening empowerment and liberating generation and completion stages are bound. The delusions of the four states are completely purified. The qualities of the essence of Buddhahood, which cannot be stolen by impurities, appear.
