Now, just leave it like that! Whatever appears, in that very moment, the single clarity of emptiness dawns. Whenever anything appears, at the time of appearance, awareness is clear and unobstructed, abiding in the great state of non-grasping, naturally clear, thereby revealing the dharmata of emptiness and clarity, free from elaboration. As the 'Great Garuda' says: 'The moment of appearance and knowing is the cessation of the great self-born. Self-arisen, free from elaboration, restrain between cause and condition.' Also, as the 'All-Creating King' says: 'The complete unborn, utterly pure samadhi, entirely depends on the conditions of meditation and non-meditation. All dharmas that appear as objects of meditation, wherever and however they abide, have no fixed manner. Not seeking, abiding in its own place, is meditation.' Also, as the 'Six Spaces' says: 'In the mind-essence free from grasping, the uninterrupted pure appearance, is called the samadhi of great bliss. Samantabhadra, I have taught it.' To restrain and bind the self-born wisdom of appearance and liberation: Mind, appearances, and the collection of thoughts, in the state of self-luminous emptiness, however they move, naturally abide, relax. In the moment of arising and moving, the meaning of dharmata is naturally clear. Wherever it moves, like water and waves, knowing it as the play of self-born wisdom, relaxing, one is liberated into the non-duality of abiding and moving. As the 'Great Garuda' says: 'Whatever miraculous manifestations of mind and thought appear, cease. Restrain between dharma and mental activity.' Also, as the 'All-Creating King' says: 'In the dharmata of unmeditated enlightenment, meditation and the object of meditation are non-dual. Not meditating, abiding in its own nature, is meditation. The ultimate meaning of all meanings is unborn. Recognizing the characteristics of conceptual thought, all that arises in memory, thought, and mind, without straying from the state of unbornness, however one thinks, knowing that this is meditation, not meditating, however one abides, there is no distraction.' Also, as the 'Six Spaces' says: 'In the mind-essence free from memory, the moving, self-purifying appearance, is called the samadhi of self-liberation from grasping. Samantabhadra, I have taught it.' To restrain and bind abiding and moving into non-duality: In the natural time of the inseparability and equality of object and mind, abide in the state of self-liberation, without trace, free from fixation. The nature is clear, and beyond meaning, the wisdom of insight naturally dawns. From cultivating the previous two, the clarity of the inseparability of object and mind naturally arises, and upon appearance, focusing the eyes and awareness intently, it becomes inwardly clear in self-liberation without trace. As the 'Lion's Complete Power' says: 'When clear awareness, the dharmata, looks outward at objects, awareness free from variety'

Therein it is seen. When looking towards the realm of various self-awarenesses, it is found within the great, thought-free Dharmakaya. Thus it is said. Regarding the method of blocking and gathering, it is said in the Khungchen: The great expanse of freedom from activity is the great block of not seeking. Body and speech are free from activity, gathered in the space of appearance and emptiness. Thus it is said. In the Kunjye it is said: Because there is no action, one does not do the work of effort. Because there is no object, one is free from the concept of meditation. Because there is no gathering and scattering, do not forget to keep it in mind. Thus it is said. In the Six Spaces it is said: On the mind itself, which has no taking and leaving, the unobstructed self-liberation is the view of great pervasiveness, Samantabhadra, I have shown. Thus it is said. The meaning of these is summarized: By blocking and gathering the three key points on one essence, realization and non-realization are equal from the beginning. The object and mind are non-dual, equal to the Dharmakaya. Confusion and obscuration are non-dual, equal to the view. Without interruption, seize the self-ground of meaning. Without letting go and placing, find the essence of certainty. Without going and coming, abide in the view of the nature of reality. Be firm on the ground of immutability. The object and mind of the appearance of letting go are equal in non-duality, so the view of not letting go and placing is found. The movement of awareness arises as samadhi, so realization and non-realization are equal, and the view of no going and coming is found. The abiding and movement are non-dual, and the confusion and obscuration are equal in non-duality, so the view of no interruption is found. Because these three are not different, the blocking and gathering also do not stray from the self-clear nature of reality, so the six consciousnesses are released freely. In this, it is said in the Khungchen: The blocking of the original, genuine, warm heat is released, stretched out in its own place, and gathered between samsara and nirvana. Thus it is said. In the Kunjye it is said: Alas! In the great bliss of effortless effort, the three doors do not exert effort, do not correct or focus, do not act in the mind, do not follow after signs, abide in the meaning of self-born wisdom and bliss. One's own body is not corrected, the senses are not dull, speech is not restrained, there is no effort to be made, and the mind is also left as it is, abiding without wavering. Thus it is said. In the Six Spaces it is said: On the mind itself, which has no sinking or agitation, the meditation of great equanimity is the view of the six consciousnesses being released, Samantabhadra, I have shown. Thus it is said. These are also combined with the yogi who realizes the equality of the three times, and it is said in that very text: Whatever man follows the traces of the past
