If one changes places, even if one kills Brahmins daily, commits the five inexpiable sins, and enjoys the deeds of robbers, one can be liberated by this path and will not be stained by sin. So it is said. From "Oral Instructions of Manjushri." Even if the physical aggregates of this body are not accomplished in this life, the mind will have accomplished the Vajra body, and it will be truly accomplished in the bardo. So it is said. From "Stages of the Path." The yogi of middling diligence leaves behind the remaining body born of maturation and goes to Vajradhara with awareness. That is called maturation. So it is said. From "Essence of Wisdom." Or, immediately after abandoning this body, the supreme wisdom body can be accomplished even without diligence. What need is there to mention if one has diligence? So it is said. The best of the lowest faculties are liberated in the next life. From "Praise of Names." The sovereign who goes immediately after birth. So it is said. From "Tantra of the Buddha's Crown." Therefore, a wise yogi, with a mind of great diligence, even if he does not attain accomplishment in this life, will attain accomplishment in existence in another life. So it is said. The middle of the lowest faculties is liberated in seven lives. From "Secret Treasury." If one bestows empowerment correctly, one will receive empowerment in life after life. Therefore, in seven lives, one can be accomplished even without practice. So it is said. Even the lowest of the lowest faculties is accomplished in sixteen lives. From "Vajra Peak." That which cannot be attained in countless eons by the Paramita Vehicle, if that yogi is diligent, he will pass into nirvana in this very life. Or, merely by seeing and hearing, one will pass into nirvana in sixteen lives. An ordinary being will become a Buddha. It will surely be accomplished, not otherwise. So it is said. Second, establishing the result through the supreme method is like the work that one person strives for in seven days. When one person accomplishes that work with a method in an instant, although the diligence of those two works is different in size, their nature is the same. Likewise, the Shamatha-Vipassana that is accomplished with great diligence of mind in nature, which cannot be accomplished in years and months, is accomplished in a long time and remains in equipoise, etc. In the Mantrayana path, in just one day and night, what arises from the key points of the body and channels can be truly determined, and it is also established as the result on the path.

From the Padma Tsemokyi Sutra: Because it is extremely difficult and cannot be accomplished, in order to correctly unite in an instant, without relying on prior causes, in order to produce results from the key points, it is called the Resultant Vehicle. Thus it is said. Third, because the result is made the path by making it the same as oneself, it is established as the Resultant Vehicle. That is, when the Buddha is free from all defilements, the body and wisdom are inseparable, and the qualities of the pure land are fully manifested, one meditates on something similar to that. By the power of clearing away the defilements that exist in such a way in the expanse, it is called the Resultant Vehicle because it manifests. As it says in that very text: The nature of the stainless expanse, complete with the three bodies, wisdom, and pure lands, when it is pure, at that very moment, self-luminous manifestation arises, and making this similarity the path, it is truly called the Resultant Vehicle. Thus, based on the knowledge of the nature of the excellent result of the expanse's essence, which has always been present, it is called the Resultant Vehicle in order to learn it. Moreover, one cultivates the generation stage and completion stage in dependence on clearing away defilements, and by practicing only that, one purifies the adventitious defilements. Therefore, although the deities and mandalas, etc., that are meditated upon by the mind are manifestations of one's own mind, it is not the case that the result of the expanse, the actual deities and mandalas, are made the path and meditated upon, but because it is close to the meaning of that expanse, it is regarded as a profound and infallible path. Therefore, although the actual expanse cannot be made the path, and is similar to the Causal Vehicle, there is a great difference in the proximity of the path due to the difference between being similar and dissimilar. Just as when a jewel and a lamp are placed side by side at night, two thieves, because of the light, are attached to the jewel and take it. The foolish thief obtains the lamp, while the wise one who is not foolish obtains the jewel. There is a great difference in the cause of quickly obtaining and not obtaining what is desired. As it says in the Pramanavarttika: The light of a jewel and a lamp, appearing with the thought of a jewel, although there is no difference from a mistaken consciousness, there is a difference in how it accomplishes the purpose. Thus it is said. Therefore, here the result is body, speech, and mind, and the way to manifest what is similar to that is also, first, at the time of empowerment, by a qualified master, through retreat, ground rituals, and...
