Therefore, (Tantra) is superior. Their view is merely not understanding the cause vehicle of the nominalist school. Tantra definitely and assuredly achieves the supreme secret of the fruition. As it says in the Vajra Peak Tantra: "The nature of all mantras is the mind of all Buddhas, it is the essence of accomplishing the Dharma, and is perfectly endowed with the realm of Dharma." Because there are no difficult deeds, and the limit of hardship is abandoned, and great results are achieved with little effort, it is also superior to the nominalist school, as previously stated: "Many methods and no difficulties." Regarding the difference in accumulating merit, the nominalist school only has the common merit of generosity, and only precepts and so on, only the six perfections, so it takes a long time. But in Tantra, since everything is known as the Buddha-field, everything that is enjoyed turns into merit, so it is vast; since the utensils are known as nectar, it is excellent; since the pure equality of self-nature is realized, it is supreme; since the afflictions are not abandoned by their nature but are purified, the two accumulations are quickly reconciled and perfected, so liberation is achieved in one lifetime. Thus, just as the superior method is, the wisdom established by that method is also known to be even more superior when practicing the path. In short, it should be known that there are three ways: using the secret of the mind as the path, using the secret of speech as the path, and using the secret of the body as the path. As it says in the Tantra of Accomplishing Wisdom: "Compared to the great vehicle of the cause, the secrets of the paths of body, speech, and mind, are even more profound, know that mantra is supreme." In the nominalist school, the body is appearance like illusion, and the actions of the body are only engaging in virtue in the usual way. But in Tantra, the secret of the body is that the appearance of existence, the deity and the palace, and the body are perfected as the mandala, and the actions of mudras and dances are used as the path, so it is superior. In the nominalist school, speech is empty like an echo in a valley, and speech is either recitation or restraining actions, cutting off speech and practicing virtue. But in Tantra, the secret of speech is that knowing that sound is the nature of vowels (Tibetan: ཨཱ་ལི་,梵文天城体:आलि,梵文罗马拟音:āli,汉语字面意思:阿黎) and consonants (Tibetan: ཀཱ་ལི་,梵文天城体:कालि,梵文罗马拟音:kāli,汉语字面意思:嘎黎), thus raining down the nectar of the Dharma. Since language naturally abides in the mandala of speech, sounds and words naturally arise as mantras, and through recitation, power is obtained without obstruction, thus accomplishing meaning, so it is superior.

Expanding without the nature of recollection and conceptualization in the mind, and practicing tranquility and insight by stopping the ordinary conceptual distractions of the mind and deliberately blocking them. In mantra, the secret of the mind appears as the play of recollection and conceptualization of the nature of reality, and from this, the mind appears as self-luminous and self-arising wisdom. Therefore, the samadhi is accomplished as a continuous yoga like a river. The mandala that appears without conceptualization in the mind is spontaneously accomplished, so it is superior. Furthermore, Dombhi Heruka said, "Here, there is a difference in the vessel, and the dharma that acts as the vessel, the difference in the scriptures and the path, and the difference in the fruits. The vehicle of mantra is particularly superior." Also, Indrabhuti said, "It is superior because of the difference in the guru, the vessel, the ritual, the action, the vow, the view of meditation, and the conduct." From the Net of Illusion, "Knowing this profound ritual of the secret mantra of all of them, the hero attained immeasurable omniscience under the Bodhi tree." So it is. The detailed way of being superior cannot be exhausted even if it is spoken of for eons. Third, there are three ways to identify the way of being a fruit: first, it is established as a fruit in relation to the speed of time; second, it is established as a fruit because it has become the supreme method; and third, it is established as a fruit because it makes the path similar to the fruit. The first is that whatever method quickly attains enlightenment is established as a fruit. For example, if a sharp weapon quickly cuts a tree, it is said that it cuts the tree; if a blunt weapon cuts slowly, even if it cuts, it is said that it does not cut. Likewise, the enlightenment that cannot be obtained for a long time by the vehicle of characteristics can be obtained in one lifetime or so in mantra, so it is also called the fruit vehicle from the point of view of the distance of time. It is also said that it can be obtained in one lifetime with great diligence. Samputi says, "Even the Buddha, who is difficult to accomplish in many billions of kalpas, gives it in this life, so it is called the vehicle of fruit." Also, the Buddha Samyoga says, "What cannot be directly attained by all the Buddhas in countless billions of kalpas can be attained in this life by the ritual of secret mantra in this life." So it is. For those who are liberated in the bardo with medium diligence, the Four Vajra Seats says, "From above the nine holes, immediately from the mind of...
