Since it pervades all samsara and nirvana, all the various phenomena that appear as pure and impure are the play arising from self-originated wisdom. In reality, although it appears that way from the unobstructed function, in essence, samsara and nirvana are neither separate nor one, nor even established as being indivisible. Although they appear as different phenomena, their nature is completely pure. Samsara and nirvana are mixed together, not exceeding the view of all-pervading, primordially complete. Because it does not fall into the side of existence, non-existence, or appearance-emptiness, it is considered to be the nature that transcends the search for actions, happiness, and suffering. Fifth, the mind-followers of partisan philosophical tenets: In terms of the mind, since its essence is invisible, it does not abide in either samsara or nirvana; it is the self-originated wisdom of the dharmadhatu. Since it is not established anywhere, it arises anywhere, and everything that arises appears as the play of mind. However, it is neither this nor that, but appears as various phenomena. All appearances and mind are primordially self-liberated, vast, and without bias, so it is considered to be the nature that transcends action and effort. Sixth, the mind-followers who transcend thought and attachment: Because self-originated wisdom is free from thought, it is not established as an entity. Because the appearance of entities arises naturally, thoughts and concepts are self-liberated. However it appears, the truth or falsity of the appearance is not established, so it is considered to be the play of great liberation that transcends existence and non-existence. Seventh, the mind-followers who claim that the mind-aspect exists: Thus, these appearances of the container and contents, of existence and phenomena, are the play of mind, so although they appear in various ways, since the nature of mind itself is without essence, the various appearances are also without essence. The reason why the imputed phenomena of appearance are not established is also considered to be the same. Whatever arises is the aspect of mind, the grasper; and the grasped appearance, although both appear as different phenomena, are inseparable from the self-originated wisdom of the nature that is neither this nor that. Therefore, what appears as phenomena is considered to be the play of mind. The play of mind arises from mind and appears in mind. Although it arises from mind, it is not correct to consider the nature of mind itself and the play without essence as either one or different. Therefore, what appears as external objects is merely a demonstration that it is not established as an external reality. Everything, from self-originated wisdom, appears as pure and impure samsara and nirvana through grasping and not grasping. However, the place of arising and the one who arises are pure in the dharmadhatu; this is the special characteristic here. Thus, the verbal of the mind class...

All the twenty-two hundred thousand verses that were spoken are condensed into three "spaces": namely, the space that is inexpressible in nature, the space that is all-inclusive in view, and the space that is neither affirmative nor negative in conduct. It abides in six thousand three hundred volumes. The unfolding that establishes abiding on the ground, the unfolding of appearances dissolving in their own place, and the unfolding of essence being equal and without difference, are condensed into three. Fifty nails that are unerring in nature. Five hundred and eleven places for observing objects and mind. Twenty thousand key points for simultaneously distinguishing appearances and mind. Fifty thousand key instructions for elevating the view to Tögal (Leap Over). Distinguishing one thousand key points for severing meditative thoughts. These divisions into one thousand and three name-continuities also abide in the aspects of clinging to mind, the aspects of clinging to the key points of mind, and the aspects of clinging to the certainty of mind. Secondly, the essence of the space division is the self-arisen wisdom and all the dharmas that arise from its state, which are the great self-liberated, self-purified state of primordial liberation. Although various existences arise on their own, since there is no result, they are primordially liberated in primordial purity. Therefore, even the mere play of mind and mind's appearances cannot be established. In the great awareness that is free from the extremes of right and wrong, let it appear, let it arise, let it not appear. No matter how one examines purity or impurity, etc., from the very moment of the appearance of self-essence, it transcends existence and non-existence, right and wrong. It is the great, primordially liberated, all-encompassing expanse. Having determined that the various philosophical tenets examined by clinging to concepts are self-empty delusions, it is believed that from the moment of any appearance or arising, it is like the sky, without limit, equal in expanse, and universally equal. This can be divided into four: The Black Space that speaks of no cause, the Variegated Space that speaks of diversity, the White Space that speaks of mind, and the Boundless Space that clings to cause and effect. First, The essence of the Black Space is self-arisen wisdom, unchanging and self-complete, transcending causes and conditions. Because it has no direction, it does not depend on phenomena or the nature of reality. If divided, there are the Action Black Space Division, the Compassion Black Space Division, and the Emanation Black Space Division. The first is from the realm of self-arisen wisdom, appearing as if possessing various manifestations. All appearances appear without distinction, and because of their self-emptiness, causes, conditions, and self-characteristics are not established. Appearance
