Vayam (Vayam). The excellence of tenets proclaimed in one's own tradition. The secret excellence of dispelling obstacles. The excellence of the suchness that unlocks the essential point. The nature of the first is that, since self-originated wisdom has no cause, it is the essential point of non-reversal. Since there is no condition, it appears in various ways, and it is the essential point of non-harm. Since there is neither cause nor condition, it is the essential point of not being established in either samsara or nirvana, and it is believed that these three transcend acceptance, rejection, action, and effort. That is, the nature of mind is inaction, so it is the essential point that one cannot attain Buddhahood through contrived dharmas. Since the mind has no reason, it dawns primordially beyond one and many. The nature of the second is that it does not rely on the self-originated wisdom of the eight vehicles, so gradual effort is confused in the mind and is not liberated from the trap of cause and effect samsara. In the nature of inaction and boundlessness, although it appears in various ways, it is liberated into one state, so it is called transcendence of self-originated effort. For example, various trees do not have various shadows, or various trees produce one fire. That is, the Great Perfection of the primordially complete nature, although it dawns in various, impartial, and universal ways, is the intention of primordially liberated, naturally abiding. It is believed to be the nature of being without limitation and partiality. The nature of the third is that self-originated wisdom has never experienced appearance and mind. The obstacle of confusing appearance into mind with clinging thoughts is cleared in the self-nature's primordially pure state. Therefore, appearance and mind are not abandoned but perfected as the Great Self-Liberation, merging into one indivisible space. Movement is the obstacle of the mind, and thoughts and concepts are purified from self-nature, appearing in naked awareness. Therefore, appearance and absorption dawn in the nature of reality, merging into the Great Purity of Moving Emptiness. Objects appear in various ways as external severance, and the mind's clinging to them is the internal severance of awareness. It has always existed in the nature of not touching or relating to each other. Because it is not recognized, clinging to duality and grasping is purified as the Great Natural Abiding. That is, the view has no "is", so it transcends words and terms. Meditation has no "is not", so there is no acceptance or rejection, affirmation or negation. Action has no "is and is not", so contrived dharmas are liberated into the nature of reality. The result has no abandonment or attainment, so it is believed to be self-abiding and independent. The nature of the fourth is that all phenomena of samsara and nirvana dawn as appearance, awareness, body, and wisdom, so it is the great nature of not separating samsara and nirvana.

Therefore, from this very moment, without adding or subtracting, settle into whatever appears as the environment and mind. Furthermore, in that which has been recognized as the reality, stare intently, relax openly, and remain unwavering. This is said to be situated between the grasping and the grasper of the great, unchanging, spontaneously accomplished nail. Without transforming or abandoning the illusory appearances of samsara, effortlessly merge into the state of Samantabhadra within the nature of reality. By directly seeing the key point of one's own face, settling awareness in its own place, the essence of all thoughts and ideas dissolves into a state where there is no inside, outside, or location, thereby awakening into complete liberation without support. This is called enlightenment. Without recollection, thought, search, or anger, it transcends the intellect. Whatever appears arises without support, transcending objects. Whatever arises vanishes in that very moment, transcending acceptance and rejection. Appearances and attachments arise equally, transcending action, cause, and effect. If these are summarized, they are included within the four realms of play, adornment, reality, and non-action. The realm of play refers to the uninterrupted arising of play without any fixed direction, where samsara and nirvana neither waver nor change. Since there is no fixed aspect of non-being, there is no clinging to extremes. Know that this is a state like space, transcending all directions. The realm of adornment refers to appearances arising naturally as the adornment of mind, the nature of mind arising naturally as self-born adornment, and self-birth arising naturally as adornment without fabrication. Since it arises uninterruptedly from the state of non-birth, appearances and mind are neither negated nor affirmed. Know that this is the great state of self-spontaneity, self-establishment, and self-illumination. The realm of reality refers to everything not coming from anywhere, not abiding anywhere, and not ceasing anywhere; this is the state of reality. The appearances, play, or various abilities of reality are all wondrous. Just as the changes of the four elements do not shake the expanse or state of space, reality is the great state of primordial emptiness, primordial liberation, and primordial abiding. It is said that one should be completely open, free from the arising, entering, hope, and fear of the mind. The realm of non-action refers to not needing to deliberately exert effort to accept or reject any dharma. Because it is already attained without effort, already liberated without liberation, already purified without practice, and already accomplished without accomplishment. Know that this is like space, without change or fabrication. Therefore, if these categories of realms are summarized, they are summarized into nine: the realm of unchanging view, the realm of non-being and being in meditation.
