Since it goes to the result, it is the Vehicle. At the time of the result, in the realm of reality, the three poisons are purified by the power of: delusion transforming into the non-conceptual Dharmakaya, attachment transforming into the bliss of the Sambhogakaya, and hatred transforming into the clarity of the Nirmanakaya. Therefore, liberating the ordinary practice of the three poisons through skillful means, and binding the mind-stream with vows and commitments, is the Mantra Vehicle. As the Guhyasamaja Tantra says: "Liberated from worldly conduct, whatever is taught as vows and commitments, is the protector of all Vajras, called the Mantra Vehicle." Also, as the Vajra Dakini Ocean says: "Since it thoroughly enters all the Great Vehicles, it itself becomes the Mantra Vehicle." Fourth, explaining the categories of names: it is called the Mantra Vehicle, the Vajra Vehicle, and the Result Vehicle. Purifying afflictions and other things to be abandoned in their own place, and greatly praising the means to attain what is to be accomplished, is Mantra. As the Supreme Knowledge says: "In the true union of obtaining empowerment, it is called Mantra because it is greatly praised." If divided, there are three types. As the Tantra of Accomplishing the Intentions says: "The divisions of all Mantras, should be known as three types: the Family Mantra is the nature of skillful means, the Dharani Mantra is the nature of wisdom, the Secret Mantra is non-dual wisdom." The Vajra Vehicle is also the great skillful means of uniting the meaning of the Vajra of body, speech, and mind, and arising without moving from the realm of reality. As the Guhyasamaja Tantra says: "Great attachment, hatred, and delusion, are well taught in the Vajra Vehicle." It also says: "Attachment, hatred, delusion, etc., delight in the Vajra and abide in purity, therefore it is the means of all Buddhas, called the Vajra Vehicle." Second, the divisions of Secret Mantra are three: the actual division, the reason for determining four, and listing the individual names. First, on the basis of the naturally pure realm of reality, dividing the three aspects of the ground, path, and result that are spoken of. Dividing according to the nature of the tantras that explain them, and dividing by the categories of expression, there are the Action Tantra, the Performance Tantra, the Yoga Tantra, and the Unsurpassed Yoga Tantra, which are all included in the four classes of tantras. As the Vajra Essence Ornament Tantra says: "The Intentional Tantra spoken by the Sugata, is truly taught as four types: Action, Performance, Yoga, and Unsurpassed." Among these, the first, the Action Tantra.

Then, there is what is called Kriyātantra, because it mainly shows the actions of body and speech. In the commentary on the Uttaratantra, it says: This tantra generally mainly shows the actions of body and speech, therefore it is called the Action Tantra. In the Susiddhikara, it says: When it is time to act, after wiping this body with earth, enter the great water without impurities, and bathe as desired. Thus. Among them, the actions of the body include the three great baths and the subtle bath, changing the three garments, eating the three foods, fasting, cleanliness and asceticism, and the differences in sitting postures, such as the lotus position, and forming mudras. The action of speech is mainly recitation. The mind cultivates by viewing oneself as a servant and the deity as the lord, hence it is the Action Tantra. In the Bhadrapala Sutra, it says: Eat on time, bathe on time, offer garlands, flowers, butter lamps, incense, and perfumes, as well as offerings without meat and wine, sit on a cushion of kusha grass, and begin the recitation. It also says: For the sake of achieving the bliss of meditation, the Tathagata taught fasting. And in the Five Dharmas Sutra, it says: The cleanliness of body and speech, the third is the cleanliness of mind, the fourth is speaking the truth, and the fifth is external cleanliness. Thus. The second is the Caryātantra, or Upatantra, where the actions of body and speech are practiced equally, and the mind cultivates by regarding oneself and the deity as friends. In the summary of the meaning of the Abhisamayalankara, it says: This tantra is called the Caryātantra because it acts in a way that contradicts the world by disparaging cleanliness and so on. Among them, the actions of body and speech are many and varied, and the meditation of the mind is practiced equally. The third is the Yogatantra, or Yoga Tantra, which does not mainly show the actions of body and speech, but mainly shows the actions of the mind. Sakya Pandita (Kun dga' snying po) said: This Yogatantra mainly shows meditation, therefore it teaches recitation as desired. In the summary of the meaning of the Tattvasamgraha, it says: This tantra mainly shows samadhi meditation, therefore it is called the Yogatantra. Among them, oneself is a vow-holder,
