The nature of the wisdom of activity is the wisdom that accomplishes various benefits for sentient beings by manifesting countless emanations. As it says in the scripture: "The wisdom of accomplishing activities, in all realms and various fields, with countless and inconceivable emanations, accomplishes the benefit of all sentient beings." Its function is to accomplish the inconceivable benefits of those to be tamed. As it says in the Ornament of the Sutras: "The Buddha's emanations are constant, in the distinctions of accomplishing activities, in all forms of number and field, it should be known as inconceivable." Third, the way that wisdom knows the knowable has two aspects: abandoning the inverted view and establishing the correct view. The first has three aspects: Some Madhyamika schools believe that the Buddha has no wisdom, therefore there is no knowledge of wisdom, because the knowable is elaboration, and it is separated from elaboration; awareness is the pervasive object of ignorance, because the pervasive ignorance recedes, then the pervasive object awareness also recedes. As it says in the Engaging: "He manifests with his body that which the mind has ceased." If you say that, it is unreasonable. As far as the empty Dharmakaya is concerned, neither the existence nor the non-existence of wisdom is established, therefore saying "exists" is also a refutation, and thinking "does not exist" is also a refutation, so saying "does not exist" is also unreasonable. As far as the manifested Rupakaya is concerned, because sentient beings must be manifested in order to accomplish benefits, wisdom must also be manifested. Although all the establishments of knowable, knower, and so on are elaborations, the objects of phenomena that appear without being established in any way cannot be established as elaborations, because worldly people also acknowledge this, so it cannot be refuted. As it says in the Sutra of Accordance with the World: "Whatever worldly people acknowledge as existing, I also establish as existing." And so on. Awareness is the basis of ignorance, not a pervasive object, so when ignorance recedes, awareness does not recede, just as when a house collapses, the foundation remains. The Dharmakaya of the Buddha is said to be attained through awareness, because you (the opponent) also acknowledge "He manifests with his body that which the mind has ceased." Even if the mind has ceased, wisdom does not cease, and the most excellent thing on it always exists. Otherwise, where does the mind cease? Engagement ceases like the sky.

If one is attached, it becomes like shooting far away. Therefore, mind and mental factors, as well as the Alaya consciousness, which is encompassed by the eight consciousnesses, cease upon wisdom. In the commentary on the "Entering the Middle Way," it also says: For whose benefit is this done? This unsurpassed wisdom, the Bhagavan also only attained in Akanistha. Therefore, the view that there is wisdom is reasonable. The second view is that some Mind-Only proponents believe that the Buddha's wisdom should not know external objects. If it knows with forms, it will become the apprehended and the apprehender. If it knows even when forms do not arise, that is too extreme. This view is also unreasonable, because in your view, there will be no omniscient wisdom, because it does not know the things that appear as external objects, and the examination of whether there are forms in knowledge is the same. The third view is that some proponents of reality who speak of two truths believe that in the Buddha's wisdom, the impure illusion of samsara appears as its own characteristic, and is known by the wisdom of suchness. If it is not known, then the impure container and contents of the world cannot be objects of knowledge, because they are not seen by omniscient wisdom. What is not seen by the Buddha cannot be an object of knowledge, because the "Ornament for Clear Realization" says: Why is that? Because the Buddhas, having known, do not see the dharmas. And the "Pramanavarttika" says: It should be understood that what is seen by omniscient wisdom is separate, and does not exist in all things. Therefore, the view that even if one sees impure things, one is not tainted by the fault of illusion, is also incorrect. Let alone the Buddha's wisdom! From the pure third ground onwards, the transformation of the five sense consciousnesses is said to have power over the pure realms. The "Ornament of the Sutras" says: Because of the transformation of mind, grasping, and discrimination, there is no discrimination, and from the purification of realms and wisdom, freedom is the place of four aspects. That freedom is the four aspects of the immovable and other three grounds, one has two aspects, and the others, freedom is what each desires. How should the meaning of this passage be explained? Because the Buddha is free from the defilement of illusion, illusion should never appear in his own nature. Some also believe that the Buddha's wisdom knows the pure container and contents of the world, but the impure
