and the lord of the world, Brahma. The ninth is the great Brahma, the lord of the two thousand intermediate worlds. The tenth is capable of taking birth as the son of the gods, the great powerful one, the lord of the three thousand great thousand worlds. The Avatamsaka Sutra says: Those who abide here become masters of the three realms. That is, they have the power to be born as their kings, but not all who are born are such. Not all of their kings abide in those bodhisattva grounds. Some are ordinary people who have accumulated great merit, and some appear as emanations of the Tathagata, thus explaining the way to benefit sentient beings. Moreover, from the first ground onwards, they have obtained mastery over life. Although there is no self-nature of birth and death, they show such changes for the benefit of sentient beings. The Compendium says: Although there is no old age, sickness, and death, they show death and transference. The Uttaratantra says: The noble ones have completely abandoned the suffering of death, sickness, and old age. They are born by the power of karma and afflictions. Since those do not exist in them, those also do not exist. Because they see the truth as it is, they have transcended birth and so on. Yet, being of the nature of compassion, they show birth, death, old age, and sickness. The fifth, the path of no more learning, also has a basis and a nature. Of the two bases, the common physical basis is generally considered to be a Kshatriya or Brahmin of Jambudvipa who can become a Buddha. The uncommon basis is the basis for becoming a Buddha in Akanistha. From there, when emanations appear in the abodes of various beings, it is considered to be the basis that appears as a Buddha. The basis of thought is the fourth dhyana. The nature has three aspects: cause, result, and essence. The cause is the completion of the two accumulations in the four paths of learning. The result is the placement of all beings in the three enlightenments through perfect enlightened activity. The essence has four aspects: characteristic, entity, division, and special quality. The first is the characteristic of possessing the three bodies and wisdom. The entity is that the term "path of no more learning" of the Great Vehicle can be established, and it is the virtue of the complete abandonment and realization of the Great Vehicle. The second is the ten non-learning dharmas of the Buddha ground, the five uncontaminated aggregates, and the six perfections. The division is

Of the three: the support body, the support wisdom, and the activity of benefiting beings, the first is the three bodies: Dharmakāya, Sambhogakāya, and Nirmāṇakāya. Dharmakāya is the nature in which space and wisdom are inseparable, the ultimate realization of wisdom that is free from all defilements, like the sky. As the Buddha Root Tantra says, "Dharmakāya is like the sky, and the form body possesses beautiful form." Also, as the Letter Nectar Drop says, "Just as water merges into water, and oil follows oil, the knowable is free from elaboration, and all the inseparable wisdoms are mixed together. This is said to be the nature of all Buddhas, called Dharmakāya." This can be divided into two: From the aspect that the pure and equal emptiness of the realm is the nature of all bodies, it is called Svābhāvikakāya (essence body); from the aspect that the ultimate perfection of wisdom, which is the essence of awareness, is the twenty-one categories, it is considered the realization of wisdom Dharmakāya, because it is the wisdom of the Buddha, and because the realm and awareness have reached ultimate manifestation. First, the Svābhāvikakāya, as the Ornament of Clear Realization says, "The Svābhāvikakāya of the Buddha is the undefiled dharma, which has been attained, completely pure in every way, and these are the characteristics of its nature." The immeasurable realization of wisdom Dharmakāya is the reverse of the awareness aspect in which the wisdom of the realm has manifested, such as the thirty-seven dharmas of enlightenment. As that treatise says, "The immeasurable aspects of enlightenment, liberation and gradual, the self-nature of the nine samāpattis, the self-nature of the ten exhaustive spheres, the birthplaces of subjugation, divided into eight by extreme differences, without afflictions and wish-wisdom, and the individual manifestations of perfect knowledge. All aspects are pure, the four, the ten powers and the ten strengths, fearlessness is the four pure ones, the three without protection, the three mindfulnesses, the nature of non-forgetfulness, the habit is completely destroyed, great compassion for beings, the unique and unmixed dharmas of the Buddha alone, what is said to be the eighteen, the essence of all-knowing, is called the Dharmakāya." Moreover, the Svābhāvikakāya is the realm, like the nature of the sky, and the realization of wisdom is like the sun, appearing as the clearing of clouds, which are temporary obscurations.
