The eighth is actually abandoned, in the manner of gradually extending with subsequent knowledge. The manner of abandoning the remaining three truths is also the same as this. With the sudden path, the fifteen moments of the seeing path abandon what is to be abandoned by seeing four times, which is in accordance with the bodhisattva. In this seeing path, there are seven limbs of enlightenment, namely: mindfulness, discrimination of dharma, diligence, joy, pliancy, samadhi, and equanimity, which are the seven limbs of perfect enlightenment. After that, the path of cultivation arises, and it is also divided into small, medium, and large, each of which is divided into: small of small, medium of small, large of small, small of medium, medium of medium, large of medium, small of large, medium of large, and large of large, that is, with nine antidotes to abandon what is to be abandoned. The three, large, medium, and small, are also reversed, and established as nine such as large of large. The Treasury of Knowledge says: "The faults of the ground and the ground are nine, likewise the qualities are also nine, with the distinction of small, medium, and large, therefore the small and so on are different." That is to say, the nature of the nine grounds, that is, the cultivation of the nine antidotes of the path of cultivation, the eight noble paths that are cultivated are also: right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration, which are the eight limbs of the noble path. Similarly, cultivate the first dhyana, the second dhyana, the third dhyana, the fourth dhyana, the formless dhyana, the infinite space, the infinite consciousness, the nothingness, the four realms of neither perception nor non-perception, and the nine successive abidings of cessation, etc. Among them, sometimes one focuses on the commonality and cultivates in order to obtain what has not been obtained; sometimes one cultivates in order to perfect what has been obtained. In these grounds, the defilements to be abandoned are also of co-emergent nature, that is, the Definitive Analysis says: "Co-emergent ones are even those of children, ordinary people, and even wild animals and birds." Distinguishing from the perspective of entity, there are four: desire, anger, pride, and ignorance. The Treasury of Knowledge says: "The four are to be abandoned by cultivation." From the perspective of realms,

In short, there are four types in the desire realm, and three types each in the two upper realms, totaling ten. From the perspective of the ground, there are four grounds in the desire realm, four in the meditative concentration realm, and four in the formless realm, totaling eight grounds. Adding three and three in the eight grounds results in twenty-eight types. From the perspective of ground and size, the desire realm, the four meditative concentrations, and the four formless realms, in the nine grounds, desire has three types: large, medium, and small, and each of these is further divided into three, resulting in nine sets of nine categories. Similarly, pride has nine sets of nine categories, ignorance has nine sets of nine categories, and anger in the desire realm has one set of nine categories. Adding all of these together, there are two hundred and fifty-two types. As stated in the Abhidharmakośa: "The four are to be abandoned by cultivation, except for anger, those themselves are the same as the form and formless realms." So, how are these to be abandoned by cultivation eliminated? They are eliminated simultaneously with the cessation of that ground, therefore, they are eliminated through cessation transformation. As stated in the Abhidharmakośa: "The non-learning mind is subject to arising transformation, liberation transforms from obscurations, and through the path of cessation transformation, its obscurations are thoroughly abandoned." That is to say, through one path, the cultivation abandonments of the three realms are eliminated all at once, in the manner of the smallest cessation of the small cultivation path and the greatest causeless cessation of the great cultivation abandonment occurring simultaneously. If it is gradual elimination, then the nine cultivation abandonments existing in the nine grounds are gradually eliminated. In this way, after the completion of the cultivation path, the two wisdoms of the fruit, the knowledge of exhaustion and the knowledge of non-arising, are manifested. As stated in the Abhidharmakośa: "The knowledge of exhaustion and non-arising is called enlightenment." That is, one must know suffering, abandon origination, manifest cessation, and rely on the path. Knowing in this way is the knowledge of exhaustion. As stated in the Abhidharmakośa: "The knowledge of exhaustion is from all the truths, the complete knowledge and so forth are certain." Furthermore, having already known suffering, knowing that there is nothing else to be known, and so on, is the knowledge of non-arising. As in "completely knowing that there is nothing to be known," and so on, it is considered the mind of non-arising. Thus, one who possesses the two wisdoms is an Arhat, with two types: remainder and no remainder. Remainder, because the aggregates of close acquisition have not been abandoned, so a small remainder of the truth of suffering remains. Therefore, from the objects, the senses are very
