Furthermore, there are five types of non-Buddhists: The first, those who rely on Damapala Nampukpa and the nine-round sequential meditation of the sage Truth to practice meditation, are called the Secret Sect; the second, those who rely on the sage's wisdom of abandoning evil to explain the treatises, are called the Speculative Sect; the third, those who rely on the son of the sage Common Sense and the hundred thousand divisions of Charaka to practice medicine, are called the Charaka Sect. These non-Buddhists consider the four Vedas to be reliable, namely, poetry makes people happy, politics makes one's own army victorious, sacrifices accomplish the benefits of this life and the next, and definitive statements accomplish the supreme. They are called the Vishnu Sect, the Brahma Sect, and the Veda Sect. The fourth is the Jina Sect, the great Jina god said: "The summary of life and exhaustion, as well as the certain joy, death, and karma, sin and merit of liberation, are the nine meanings of the words to be known." These people speak of treatises based on the appearance of embellishment of meaning, they believe that liberation has color and shape, and that trees have feelings, because cutting the leaves will shrink, and peeling the bark will dry and die. The Jina god said: "If you burn your body with firm faith, the victorious one will open a thousand eyes; if you cut off your head when seized by Rahu, Karna believes that you can attain Brahma; being bound, burned, prevented, and dying, the Jina says you will attain liberation." They follow this ascetic practice. These people are called the Jina Sect, the Nine Meanings Sect, and the Naked Sect. The fifth is the annihilationist sect, they rely on Purbu in the thirty-three heavens to attain accomplishment, Indra taught them sound, and they are called the Teacher of the Gods. When the Asuras fought with the gods, because they feared the consequences of karma and desired pleasure, in order to make the gods happy and victorious in battle, they composed a treatise called "The Essence of Annihilationism," denying all of past and future lives, karmic results, liberation, etc. Later, it was propagated in the human realm by Grolakharwa. It says: "Enjoy yourself until the beautiful woman dies, after death it is not her place of enjoyment. The body also disappears like ashes, how could there be rebirth?" They believe that there is no past or future life. They also say: "As much as there is enjoyment of the senses, so much is the person."

Saying "There are no sentient beings other than those seen by me" is a slander against beings. Alas, what the learned say is like the footprints of a cunning jackal. This is a slander against all doctrines. The mind is the nature of the body, and the body is the fruit and merit of the body. Relying on these three ways, existence is impossible through practice. This is a slander against the Buddha, the fruit of not practicing the path. Because of clinging to fabrications, it is not valid cognition. This is a slander against valid cognition (Pramana). Who made the stamens of the lotus? Who painted the patterns of the peacock? Who sharpened the sharp thorns? Everything arises from nature without cause. Just as the sun rises, rivers flow downwards, lentils are round, thorns are long and sharp, peacock feathers are very beautiful, and the king's daughter looks charming. None of these were made by anyone, but arose from nature itself. This is a slander against the cause and effect of what is produced and what produces, saying that nature is the cause, and thinking that growth like mushrooms on the grass is sudden. It is believed that self and happiness and suffering exist until death, and that they cease after death. These are called: Purana Kashyapa, Ajita Kesakambalin, Makkhali Gosala. Therefore, the doctrines of the outsiders, if divided, have three hundred and sixty wrong views, namely, the branches of the three views of permanence, annihilation, and both permanence and annihilation, each with one hundred and twenty, totaling three hundred and sixty. If summarized, there are sixty-two views. If further summarized, there are the two views of permanence and annihilation. Just as it is said in the Samgraha, the sixty-two views are all contained in the view of the aggregation of destruction. Among them, there are twenty kinds of clinging to permanence, twenty kinds of clinging to annihilation, and twenty-two kinds of clinging to both permanence and annihilation. For details, see the Brahma-jala Sutra and the Yashogata Sutra. Here, these classifications are explained so that people recognize the wrong path and do not go astray. I think that the refutation has been done through meaning, and I have not elaborated in detail for fear of words. Now, there are two broad classifications of Buddhist doctrines: the way of being superior to outsiders and detailed classification. The first is that if one believes in the gods and the Three Jewels as refuge and accepts the four seals of Dharma as the mark of Buddhism, then one is a Buddhist; otherwise, one is an outsider. Among them, the recognition of the Three Jewels of refuge is: the Hinayana considers the Buddha to be the supreme manifestation of Shakya
