In the midst of blazing, the perfectly endowed teacher, the young hero, the great powerful one, spoke to the perfectly endowed assembly of dakinis and others, the perfectly endowed Dharma, the Great Perfection of Naturalness, the Seventeen Tantras of Utmost Secret, at the time of the perfectly endowed time of self-caused purity. By this example, all teachers and incarnations should know the fivefold perfections of outer, inner, and secret. Secondly, the specific explanation of the place of wisdom has three aspects. The essence is: the self-nature of self-awareness is free from elaboration. As it says in the *Thal 'Gyur*: "From the self-radiance of the non-conceptual Dharma, the appearance of objectless wisdom arises." So it is said. The definition is also from that: "Ye (seed syllable, Devanagari: ये, IAST: ye, meaning "is") first arose, Shes (seed syllable, Devanagari: शेस्, IAST: śes, meaning "know") therefore the faults of affliction are purified." So it is said. There are three divisions: the wisdom of the Dharmakaya's ground, the wisdom of the Sambhogakaya's self-characteristic holding, and the wisdom of the Nirmanakaya's all-pervading. The first has three aspects: essence, nature, and compassion. The essence is: the wisdom of original purity, the ultimate nature of awareness, empty and clear, without impurity, the Dharmakaya is free from the extremes of elaboration, the nature of the two perfections of pure space. It abides as the basis for the manifestation of the three kayas, which are non-dual. The self-nature of spontaneously accomplished wisdom abides as the basis for the manifestation of clear light, so it appears as fields, palaces, and rays of light, fulfilling the hopes of those to be tamed. The wisdom of all-pervading compassion, at its own time, pacifies elaboration, so there is no term for entering into an object, but it abides as the basis for the manifestation of all knowing wisdom, so within the state of the spontaneously accomplished great space and wisdom, without moving, the two benefits of beings arise without moving or exerting effort, acting as a seed. As it says in the Sixth *Klong*: "The essence of originally pure wisdom is free from the impurity of ignorance. The self-nature of spontaneously accomplished wisdom is free from the harm of deluded words. The compassion of all-pervading wisdom appears as all dharmadhatu connected as one." So it is said. On the part of the emptiness of the Dharmakaya, if there is no basis for the manifestation of the wisdom of the ground, or a seed-like component, then the Buddha's delusion would be awakened, and there would be an upward break. Sentient beings would be deluded and cycle in samsara, and there would be a downward break. Then it would not be appropriate to be the one to be tamed and the one who tames. From the wisdom of the ground, it appears outwardly, and as long as samsara exists, benefiting sentient beings is self-

Arising from the swift and profound compassion, and the perfection of wisdom. In the Transcendent Treatise, it says: From the nature of emptiness of the Dharmakaya, the part of perfect wisdom, swiftly appears to sentient beings. Without it, the divisions of samsara and nirvana would be severed. It is knowing and clarifying through wisdom. From the essence of self-aware clarity, the very nature of swift compassion, is unceasing and without cessation. Thus it is said. Secondly, the five wisdoms of the Sambhogakaya are: each holding its own characteristic, namely, Vairochana is primarily the Dharmadhatu wisdom, with the other four as retinue; Akshobhya is primarily the Mirror-like wisdom; Ratnasambhava is primarily the Equality wisdom; Amitabha is primarily the Discriminating wisdom; Amoghasiddhi is primarily the All-Accomplishing wisdom, with the remaining four each as retinue, thus there are twenty-five wisdoms, and from these, immeasurable divisions arise, but when condensed, they are contained within five. In the Self-Arisen, it says: The divisions of wisdom are thus: from the essence of twenty-five, when condensed, they are contained within five forms. Thus it is said. How are they condensed? In the Transcendent Treatise, it says: The wisdom of the Sambhogakaya holds characteristics, being pure in reality, it is the Mirror-like wisdom, the reflections of samsara and nirvana are clear. Being without partiality, it is the Equality wisdom, showing the sense objects, it is the Discriminating wisdom, being effortless, it is the All-Accomplishing wisdom, being without difference, it is the Dharmadhatu wisdom. Thus it is said. These have already been explained in detail, so I will not elaborate further. Thirdly, the two wisdoms of the Nirmanakaya are: pervading all knowable objects, knowing all that is encompassed by appearance, and knowing how all that is encompassed by emptiness is. Therefore, knowing all the phenomena of relative truth without confusion, thus taming the boundless assembly of disciples' faculties, inclinations, and latent tendencies, and knowing the nature of ultimate truth, thus manifesting the Dharma of emptiness, signlessness, and luminosity. Furthermore, in the Transcendent Treatise, it says: The Nirmanakaya possesses knowable objects, knowing the reality of things in their own right through 'how it is,' and knowing how the thoughts of disciples exist through 'how many.' Thus, from the manner of the arising of compassion, for the different beings to be tamed, the bodies that tame are also just as many. Thus it is said. When the meaning of these wisdoms is condensed into the three kayas, and clearly summarized, for such a Buddha, in the state of the Dharmakaya, the three wisdoms are complete at the base.
