and specifically explaining the appearances of body and wisdom from the spontaneously accomplished clear light ground. The first has three parts: identifying the nature of the place of liberation; individually explaining the nature of how liberation occurs; and ascertaining the ground for the appearance of body and wisdom. The first is: self-originated awareness, naturally pure, purified of all adventitious stains; the Dharmakaya possessing dual purity, the primordial purity treasure secret palace inseparable from space and wisdom, is the ultimate place of liberation. As it says in \"Self-Arisen Awareness\": 'The place of liberation is the appearance of primordial purity. It is like the body of a vase.' And: 'The support of all Buddhas is the mandala of great primordial purity.' And: 'In the fruition Dharmakaya emptiness, the exhaustion of phenomena is most wondrous.' And: 'The very place of liberation is the beginning.' Thus, having recognized awareness as its own face in the initial primordial purity, it does not revert to being a cause, so the basis of confusion is exhausted, and therefore the name changes to \"fruition.\" It has been explained in detail above in the context of the basis, but it should be understood as distinguished by being free from defilements. The second has three parts: the actual manner of liberation into the sphere; the nature of abiding in the sphere; and how the expanse of the nature of reality revolves in the sphere. The first is: when the three types of faculties—sharp, dull, and middling—are liberated, there is no difference in the fruition. All the Buddhas of the three times are one in that inexpressible Dharmakaya where intention is exhausted, so they attain Buddhahood in a single bindu, in a nature that is equal in essence and without difference. Whether one purifies with a physical body in this life, or realizes self-appearance in the bardo, or breathes out in a nirmanakaya realm, the aspects of the appearance of body and wisdom of the path that are outwardly clear dissolve into the sphere in a sequence of spontaneous absorption, like\ndissolving into clear light, the appearance is empty." } ] ============================================================

Having been liberated, dissolving into the realm of wisdom, the physical body passes into nirvana within the expanse of the Dharmakaya. Being without things and characteristics, it becomes one taste with the Dharma-nature, which is like the sky, just as the sky dissolves into the sky. For example, like separating awareness from the expanse and having it remain in the body, like the sky inside a vase, it connects with the greater sky through the hole of the vase. Through the four lamps, the original purity is connected. When the vase breaks, the sky of the outer, inner, and intermediate becomes inseparable and abides in one essence. Similarly, when body and mind separate, the great awareness, without before, after, or in-between, abides in the great inner expanse of original purity. In the sixth expanse, it says: Abiding in Samantabhadra, all elaborations are pacified, and at the time of unparalleled enlightenment, one is said to be free from the dust of the eye of all dharmas. Having seen the infinite realms everywhere, when appearances merge without outer and inner, one obtains the realization of the perfectly pure expanse. At that time, samsara itself is said to have an end. Thus, like the merging of the sky, or the rays of self-light of outer appearances dissolving into the expanse, like the sun setting and the rays gathering into itself, or water dissolving into water, or butter dissolving into butter. In the burning of the body, it says: Then, in the essence of original purity, like rays gathering from the sun, self-appearance together with emanations, dissolving into one's own essence, becomes inseparable. Just as water dissolves into water, similarly butter dissolves into butter, and the sky dissolves into the sky, it becomes non-dual and unrecognizable. At that time, by dissolving into the inner expanse of original purity, awareness seizes its own ground, becoming the victorious, unchanging light Buddha, the all-perfect master, Samantabhadra, the protector Vajradhara, spontaneously accomplished wisdom. Because the fruits are obtained, the dharmas of the path are exhausted, and the dharmas of the fruit, like the waxing and waning of the full moon, are completely perfected, and there is nothing higher than that, so it goes to the place of exhaustion. In "Self-Arisen," it says: The realized being, intelligent, dissolves into the unchanging equality. Non-conceptual wisdom arises naturally. On that great ground of accumulating bliss, like a heap of unarranged jewels, various things arise and dissolve within it. The ancestor of all Buddhas is universally known as unchanging light.
