There are two kinds of passing away: complete and perfect enlightenment, and manifest and perfect enlightenment. Among them, complete and perfect enlightenment refers to nirvana without remainder. For the holy being who manifests perfect enlightenment, phenomena such as light, sound, relics, body image, and earth tremor will appear. As it is said in "The Burning of the Body Relic": "The wise and holy one is extremely supreme, in this confused appearance, after the elements return to their original positions, the fruit of the essence will appear, the contaminated aggregates will no longer be seen, and the fruit position will be accomplished in its own nature. These are the external signs, all those who have passed away in nirvana, their body image and relics, as well as light and sound, the earth will also move for them." Second, the detailed explanation is divided into five: detailed explanation of body image, relics, light, sound, and earth tremor. First, the body image is divided into five parts: nature, classification, cause, place, and result. First, the nature is the appearance of deities, namely single body images, half body images, parent images, group images, large mandalas, and stupas, dharma wheels, vajras, wish-fulfilling jewels, lotuses, crossed vajras, swords, etc. that correspond to them. From the stage when the generation and completion stages have not yet matured, letters, hand gestures, half body images, and single body images appear. From complete perfection, parent images, group images, and mandalas appear. The classification includes two types: peaceful body images and wrathful body images. As it is said in "The Burning of the Body Relic": "The one who has perfect lineage enters nirvana, the remaining contaminated aggregates of that one, burning and purifying the remnants, that one's body image has two types, peaceful body image and wrathful." Also, as it is said in "Self-Appearance": "There are two types of body image, namely peaceful and wrathful, wrathful is the Tathagata, peaceful cannot produce the emanation body." Also, as it is said in "The Vajrasattva Heart Mirror": "There are also two types of body image, namely peaceful body image and wrathful body image." The cause is divided into two types: the cause of the essence is the clear light body and relics that all sentient beings inherently possess. Here, the generation and completion stages make it manifest. The cause of manifestation is the aggregation of pure elements. Latent is the nature that has not yet matured, manifest is the matured.

It appears as the Dharmakaya relic. As previously stated: "Sentient beings inherently possess, residing in the great ground of self-nature, distinguished by maturity and immaturity, manifesting and latent." The abode mostly arises from the head or spine, although it may arise from other places as well. Here, it is explained that the Dharmakaya arising from familiarity with clear light arises from those two places, as it is said in the Burning of the Dharmakaya Relic: "Likewise, the Dharmakaya arises from the head, or from the joints of the spine." The result is through the sequence of attaining liberation. If both peaceful and wrathful deities appear, the consciousness dissolves into space. When the self-radiance of the primordially pure space dawns, liberation is attained, thus attaining Buddhahood without the bardo of the Dharmata. Therefore, it is included within liberation in this life, because the subsequent part that separates from this support is that. If the peaceful deity appears, as soon as this appearance ceases, one meditates on the self-appearance of clear light for five meditation days and is liberated. A meditation day refers to the state of samadhi, and there is a difference of length for yogis. If the wrathful deity appears, the nose-rope of Vajrasattva shoots forth from the eyes, and when the three self-appearances of sound, light, and rays dawn, one is liberated in five moments. As it is also said in the Burning of the Dharmakaya Relic: "If both appear, this one also without the bardo, with confidence in the great primordially pure essence, this one transforms. If the sign of the peaceful deity appears, in five days one sees the truth, and that one dissolves into the Buddha himself. If the sign of the wrathful deity appears, this one in the bardo of Dharmata, in five moments, is liberated, O Dakini." And, in The Mirror of the Heart of Vajrasattva, it says: "If the peaceful deity appears, as soon as this appearance ceases, one attains stability, and cannot emanate a Nirmanakaya. If the wrathful deity appears, one attains stability in that very moment, and in twenty-one days one can emanate a Nirmanakaya." That is to say, when the peaceful deity appears, the path of clear light opens, and one is thoroughly liberated in the ground of primordial purity. Therefore, the self-appearing Nirmanakaya does not arise from the bardo, and the ground of primordial purity is devoid of the appearance of the Nirmanakaya, so it is not a place where the self-appearing Nirmanakaya arises. However, because it is the basis for the appearance of the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya of others, for the benefit of others, activities arise relying on it, but primordial purity itself does not have the appearance of a Nirmanakaya.
