It is not about suppressing manifest clinging. Thus, one should understand the key to self-liberation like a drawing in water. Here, there are also two levels of mind: Self-liberation with effort is when any affliction arises, one recognizes its face, abides in its own place, and lets it dissolve on its own. In this state, the intention of pure abiding flows, and one trains without distraction for even a moment in the great equality of self-liberation. Self-liberation without effort is when whatever arises cannot take hold, as self-purity is the nature of reality. Therefore, there is no need to abandon the means of looking at it, and liberation occurs naturally and effortlessly. These two levels of mind reside in the difference of faculties and in a sequential manner. As it says in that very text: These are two levels of mind, those with effort and those without effort. Those with effort abide in their own place, and through the measure of habituation with appearances, when the appearance of pure wisdom arises spontaneously in all inner and outer places, it is not born from conditions. Even if they arise, they are liberated in their own place. Therefore, it is the appearance of a yogi. Those without effort are like this: one's own self liberates itself, and in oneself, one's own nature is self-liberation. Like iron cutting iron, and stone breaking stone. One's own self is the greatest antidote to oneself. Through the realization of the Great Perfection of self-nature, whatever habituation occurs in this way, one finds the meaning of abiding without searching, great bliss increases without meditation, and one directly knows in self-nature. Whoever encounters this, even if they possess the sin of immediate retribution, is liberated by habituating to this, without any doubt. So it is said. Secondly, there are three aspects to specifically explaining the state of original liberation: Showing that since one is already originally liberated, one is now self-liberated, and there is no need for the antidote of effort; advising not to stray from the nature of that state; and affirming that in its natural state, one has never gone anywhere other than the groundless self-purity. First, as it says in the Garland of Pearls: Liberation is not through effort, but abides in original liberation. So it is said. Also, Since ignorance itself is self-born, the cause of delusion is originally pure. Since the all-ground spontaneously arises as the Dharmakaya, the lineage of birth is cut from the root. Since it originally abides in the wish-fulfilling intention, all moving things are self-abiding. Since breath is originally cut off, birth and death fundamentally do not exist. Desirable qualities are originally complete.

Thus, the end of attachment is meditation itself. Limbs need not move, it is inherently complete, the path of samsara is inherently transcended. The spoken word is inexpressible, inherently beyond speech and thought. The arising of thoughts is inherently emptiness, inherently abiding in great contemplation. All defilements are inherently pure, abiding in the state of stainless transparency. Because there is no source of creation, from the very beginning, it is free from agent and action. Because there is no externally arising dharma, from the beginning, it is the self-born unique one. The count of one and two is exhausted, the bindu is itself separated from the moon. Darkness is inherently pure from the beginning, the light of awareness pervades. Samsara is immutable, already ceased, inherently spontaneously accomplished Buddhahood. The substance of signs is empty and clear, the mind of self-grasping is inherently exhausted. All conditions are self-liberated by conditions, all dependencies are left as they are. Thus it is said. Secondly, in "Transcending Thought" it says: The end of the Great Perfection of self-nature is to leave all dharmas in their own place. Appearance and awareness, the nature of reality are united, inherently liberated, abiding in the present moment. Realization transcends the mind, things with signs are pure in themselves, the edge of emptiness and reality is liberated, thought movements cease, there is no distinction, the mind is exhausted, transcending thought. Thus it is said. In the previous content it says: The five elements are inherently clear, appearances are liberated into luminosity. The five senses are truly abiding, the five objects of grasping are liberated in themselves. Thus it is said. Thirdly, in "Transcending Thought" it says: What is called self-mind liberation is not going from one place to another. There is no mind that can liberate, it is complete from the root, so there is no coming and going. It cannot be found by examination, there is no reason. There is no foundation, so it abides in emptiness and clarity. That self-luminous abiding mind is liberated by the key point, so there is no bias. It is liberated by time, so there is no dependence. It is liberated without effort, so there is no diligence. It is liberated by confidence, so there is no effort. It is said that liberation is through confidence. It is inherently liberated, so there is no basis for repetition. It is self-liberated, so there is no antidote. It is truly liberated, so it disappears in the place of seeing. It is completely liberated, so there is no effort. Thus it is said. Therefore, the three doors of body, speech, and mind are inherently liberated, so there is no need to be liberated by initial effort. There is no need to change mudras with the body, etc., all dharmas are liberated in their own key points, so they do not return to the six realms again. Reciting mantras with the effort of speech
