If you do not stand up, you are called a yogi who realizes the equality of the three times. Do not refute the past Buddhas, do not slander the future Buddhas, and do not obstruct the present Buddhas. This is the yogi of the equality of the three times. Abandon the refutation of past desire, cut off the thoughts of future desire, and drive away the objects of present desire. This is the yogi of the equality of the three times. Do not cling to past jealousy, do not gather your mind on future jealousy, and do not let present jealousy enter your mind. This is the yogi who realizes the equality of the three times, that is, the great yogi who realizes the non-duality of samsara and nirvana. The Buddhas of the past, present, and future are special experiences of wisdom and awareness, teaching people to abandon the attachment to joy and sorrow. The other nine are the appearance in the objects of refutation and establishment, and the uninstructed ignorance of one's own nature, etc. For what is recognized, during the period of cutting off the connection of the three times, Har Realizing the abiding of the Dharma nature is to meditate on what is recognized. Third, the practice of completely exhausting the nature of reality without Dharma is from the "Lion's Perfect Power": With virtue, one cannot realize the meaning of the Buddha. If one realizes the meaning of the Buddha with virtue, then the nature of Dzogchen will become false. With sin, one will not fall into samsara. If one falls into samsara with sin, then the three aspects of an instant will become false. With emptiness, one cannot see the true meaning. If one sees the true meaning with emptiness, then the light of wisdom will become false. With signs, one cannot see the meaning of self-awareness. If one sees the meaning of self-awareness with signs, then the self-born Dharma nature will become false. With action, one cannot find the meaning of spontaneous perfection. If one finds the meaning of spontaneous perfection with action, then the unchanging essence will become false. With grasping, one will not see appearance. If one sees appearance with grasping, then the unceasing nature will become false. With speculation, one cannot liberate the other shore. If one liberates the other shore with speculation, then universal compassion will become false. The appearance of delusion will not obscure me. If the appearance of delusion obscures me, then the two lamps will become false. This is what the intention of the tantras shows. Therefore, this is an important and majestic practice in the realm of secret meaning, so do not be afraid to speak directly and frankly.

The third general meaning, to clear obstacles by abiding on the ground of spontaneous liberation, has three points: Generally showing the meaning of self-liberation; Specifically explaining the nature of original liberation; Elaborately stating the intention of self-liberation. The first point is: In this path that definitely liberates from afflictions, the King Ati Vajra Essence, since afflictions are not abandoned but are pure in their place, it is not like abandoning as the Hearers and Solitary Realizers do, nor like abandoning as Bodhisattvas do, nor like transforming as the lower tantras' generation stage does, nor like letting it self-pacify as the completion stage does, nor like subduing with antidotes as the common vehicle does, nor like establishing in its own way as the Mind Series does, nor like making it the nature of reality as the Space Series does. Why? If one does not know that afflictions have always existed as they are, then one cannot abandon them by abandoning. If afflictions are abandoned by the mind, then the object to be abandoned and the agent of abandonment are the same substance, so it cannot be pure. If abandoned by wisdom, then the mind does not see wisdom, and wisdom does not see the mind, so since they are contradictory and do not coexist, the terms object to be abandoned and agent of abandonment are not applicable. The former cannot be abandoned by the latter, since past and future are contradictory substances. When one exists, the other ceases. If they are simultaneous, they will mix with each other, so the object to be abandoned becomes the antidote, and the antidote becomes the object to be abandoned, since the mind stream is the same and simultaneous. Furthermore, afflictions arise from the mind itself, like a body and its shadow, so there is no time to abandon by abandoning. Similarly, apply this to purification and so on. As it says in the Union of Sun and Moon: If one does not realize Suchness, Yoga is like a body and its shadow. Since that itself arises from that, It is not abandoning by abandoning. Similarly, it is not purifying by purifying, Nor is it transforming by transforming. Without realizing the unchanging essence, Like a crystal rock or a jade stone, One cannot purify or melt it. By nature, it is a pure place, The yogi observes it. Similarly, it is not pacifying, Without knowing manifest superior seeing, Like Mount Meru, king of mountains, No one can destroy it. It is not liberated by antidotes, Without knowing unsearched self-purity, Like muddy water wanting to clear, It will never clear. Even if it clears, it is not the nature of reality, Without knowing spontaneous self-appearance, Like the appearance of an ordinary fool.
