If one follows, there is a need for clear eyes. With good eyesight, if one follows the state of the Dharmakaya, there is a need to quickly bring the appearance to its full measure. If one does not stray from these, one will surely comprehend the three eyes, for the Dharmakaya has the eye of Dharmata (Tibetan: ཆོས་ཉིད་ཀྱི་སྤྱན།,梵文:धर्मता,梵文羅馬轉寫:dharmatā,汉语字面意思:法性), therefore it is said that through its blessing, one directly sees wisdom, so be certain of this. The Sambhogakaya has the eye of wisdom, so (observe) the body, and through its blessing, it appears self-luminous, so knowledge expands. The Nirmanakaya has the eye of discriminating awareness, so (observe) the mind, and through its blessing, one sees beyond words and letters, so without relying on hearing, thinking, and meditating, the meaning of Dharmata arises from within. Furthermore, looking with the three eyes means that turning the eye of Dharmata upwards is the key to clearing away downward tendencies. Looking equally to the side with the eye of wisdom is the key to mixing samsara and nirvana into one taste. Looking downwards with discriminating awareness is the key to actually bringing down the appearance of wisdom. Why is it certain that there are three ways of looking? Because for the lazy, the Sambhogakaya; for the diligent, the Nirmanakaya; and for the equanimous, the way of looking of the Dharmakaya is auspicious, so it is certain that there are three. The definitive word is that looking, by looking at Dharmata, exhausts pure obscurations. The way liberates from samsara. Secondly, the key to the object of focus is that the object of the outer expanse is the empty sky, free from clouds, while the object of the inner expanse is focusing on the hair between the eyebrows, which is the blue appearance of the expanse and the self-radiance of the five elements that arise from it. As it says in the *Root Verses on the Middle Way* (Thal 'gyur): "The expanse is both outer and inner. The outer is holding onto the cloudless sky. When the habitual tendencies are cleared away like rain, the wise should directly seize the key point and make the inner lamp the path." That is to say, it is the object of the arising of outer awareness, and it is also the object of the increase of inner experience. From the inseparability of awareness and experience arises what is called the mixing of samsara and nirvana. If one focuses on the gross objects of earth, water, fire, and wind as the object of focus, one will not be liberated, because at first one does not want appearances to arise. Later, when they arise, even if one focuses on them, one will perceive them as gross objects, and corresponding (thoughts) will arise, so the experience of emptiness, which is beyond thought, will not arise from within. If one focuses awareness on the empty sky, then an experience that matches the sky will arise, an experience that is empty, clear, free from gathering and scattering, and vast. Therefore, it is necessary to be free from objects and characteristics.

Furthermore, in the Mind Section, it says, "The yogi abides in the path of birds in the sky." And in the Compendium, it says, "What is that meaning? Contemplate well on the sky itself." And in the Intermediate Mother, it says, "Meditating on the Perfection of Wisdom is making the sky into yoga." And so on, there are countless scriptural proofs. Moreover, from the blending of outer and inner objects arises the view of equality without distinction. It is called the view of non-duality of space and awareness. From the blending of space and awareness arises the view of the equal taste of samsara and nirvana. This is also stated in the Testament of the Son: "The view of space and awareness is like the sky free from obscurations." Thus it is said. Third, the key point of prana and awareness is that when the two, object and gate, coincide, one should rely on slow prana to hold awareness captive, as it is said. The key is to make the prana as slow as possible, projecting it far outward and then drawing it back and holding it in place. Moreover, with slow prana, outwardly, it becomes a friend to the yogi's longevity; inwardly, it causes the cessation of discursive thoughts; secretly, it performs the action of directly seeing awareness; and uniquely, it performs the action of attaining Buddhahood without the appearance of defilements. As it is said in the Refutation: "Prana should be slowed down as much as possible, because it arises from extreme dissipation, the bond between body and mind is severed, and it will not return even in the three realms." Thus it is said. And it is also said, "With slow prana and awareness, wisdom is accomplished." Thus it is said. The key point of awareness is to place the luku gyü (ལུ་གུ་རྒྱུད,一种观修方法) within the fence of the dharmadhatu and make it immovable. In that very text, it says, "The self-face awareness, the luku gyü, is held in the sky, free from going and coming." Thus it is said. In the Testament of the Son, it says, "Within the dharmadhatu, the luku gyü, thus abide and do not separate." Thus it is said. Moreover, by relying on slow prana, the meaning of being free from activity arises in the continuum. By entrusting the awareness luku gyü to the ar (ཨར་,一种姿势), the source of discursive thoughts is exhausted. Delusion reverts to the ground, and wisdom, mother and child, meet. Awareness, separated from prana and without going and coming, is awareness becoming self-sufficient. Furthermore, if one is guiding, the key point of adjusting the body should be done for five or six days. Then, the key point of using the gate should be done for just that long. Then, the key point of seeking the object should be done for six to seven days. Then, one should bring it down to one's own direct experience and practice it. By doing so, one will become very proficient and develop the understanding of meditation. Otherwise, if one does it half-heartedly, it will only increase
