Do not do this to other things, because it contradicts the vow of mantra to avoid harming sentient beings. Do not naturally transfer diseases, because it arises to purify the obscurations of oneself and others, and even if transferred, it will happen again, even if temporarily transferred, karma will not be transferred, because it arises from karma. The *Abhisamayalankara* says: There are two kinds of transferring actions, namely the thing itself and emptiness. The thing is contained by the form aggregate, therefore, one must become proficient in arising, by practicing becoming accustomed to the wind, by inserting consciousness into any tangible thing, one can make it move. Then begin to transfer things. Emphasize practice with an empty mind, through emptiness understand the Dharmadhatu and Dharmakaya, the inseparable union of the two. In the nature of clear emptiness, the mind is also in that state. Through the completion of the interdependent ritual, use the key points to release the method of transferring, and understand through the expression of language. Through the meeting of the respective elemental bodies, try to transfer by merely seeing, combined with wind, this is what the wise do. However, if one reaches accomplishment, the invisible body can accomplish all actions. If one sees the substance of things forming, in order to offer to the guru, one should take it by transferring, otherwise do not do it. Likewise, for the image of riding and so on, if the heroic guru gives instructions, by becoming accustomed to the wind, one should also take these. With a mind of attraction, the yogi should perform the transfer. Thus it is said. Naturally, by mastering the wind of all four elements, the transfer can be accomplished. In particular, by mastering the wind of karma, it can be accomplished. Transfer is also gaining control over the elements, the blending of appearance and mind. Not only transferring diseases, but also transferring other happiness and suffering, transferring places and environments, transferring valleys and forests, etc., transferring what exists to non-existence, transferring what does not exist to existence, attracting what exists in other places to transfer here, projecting what exists here to transfer to other places, transferring material things as sentient beings come to their own place, taking riding and girls, etc., into the sky by wind, transferring them to their own place. For example, Guru Padmasambhava transferred the mountain of Mangyul, and in Samye transferred Netang and forests, which still exist today. This is the supreme method for fulfilling the wishes of yogis. The *Abhisamayalankara* says: The yogi who wants to transfer, with great fortune, with a mind of awareness.

In summary, for sentient beings with form, through the changes of inner harmonious karma, one transfers one's own illnesses etc. to others. Having transferred in this way, one is liberated from the object. Others are accomplished through the combination of dependent arising. From the four elements of matter, through the dependent arising that transforms into objects, with numbers, symbols, and sounds, one changes the target, thereby transferring illnesses etc. Sticks, pebbles, tiles, and grass, charcoal pieces, shards, etc., likewise, water, earth, and sky also, one must ascertain them before performing the work of transference. The yogi transforms through the power of the mind. Thus it is said. Secondly, dreams are of two types: preliminary and actual. The first has three parts: purification is to subdue body, speech, and mind through prostrations, circumambulations, recitations, and the gathering and dispersing of the mind for several days, the appearance of many confused dreams is the sign of accomplishment. Then, examining the thickness of the imprints from those dreams, from then on, for several days, relax completely, seize the dream and think about examining it, making sure to be single-pointed and not distracted. If one dreams mostly of objects of past attachment etc., it means that the imprints of past attachment are strong, therefore transformation is of medium difficulty. If one dreams mostly of the present practice, it is very easy, and one can accomplish it in about three or four days. If one dreams of places one has never been to before, people one has never met, etc., it is difficult to cut off. If one dreams of all three mixed together, it means that the three imprints are mixed together, therefore it is very difficult to cut off. Subjugation is to seize the dream, for this, single-pointed intention alone is the key point of the instruction. During the day, thinking "This is a dream, it is happening here," suddenly generating the intention and certainty of being able to control it, one will definitely be able to seize it at night. At this time, by practicing the skills of fearlessly chasing away, transforming, changing, and observing the realms etc., one is able to subjugate appearances. First, by generating great devotion and intention towards the lama, initially, when fear and dread arise from violent causes such as water, fire, dogs, and enemies, one will definitely realize "This is in a dream," this is called "coarse seizing." After that, one will be able to seize everything one dreams. Transforming at the time of seizing is to transform in the daytime the deity image in one's mind, beings, and various different appearances, transforming from one into many, in this way one will be able to transform in dreams.
