Words of simile. Without grasping, the mind is clear. For the fortunate individual, The mind expands with the taste of Dharma, So that even if the body is six or seven days, One does not feel its presence. Rising above the earth, There is the feeling of walking in space. It naturally becomes one's own field of experience. If un fabricated awareness is placed in a fortress, One thus obtains the Nirmāṇakāya. When that awareness is not distracted, The Sambhogakāya itself, In the stream of one's own consciousness, Is experienced in this way, free from all effort of self-appearance. Even the light that has never been seen before, Who sees it piece by piece? This is also used as the Sambhogakāya. The awareness of that fortunate yogi, who possesses a noble lineage, is self-illuminating and clear. By being accustomed to self-illuminating wisdom, The inner clarity and movement of mind do not stray outward. The mind does not follow after objects. Worldly affairs do not appear in the mind. By this, one obtains the Sambhogakāya. Then, awareness in the sky, With the attitude of great stillness, By remaining in equipoise without distraction, Again, the Samādhi of the Dharmakāya appears. At that time, awareness is clear from the depths, Manifestly used in a continuous stream. This is the measure of increasing appearances, With sharp and swift awareness, One sees Buddhas never seen before. By this, at that time, people, Hundreds, thousands, and millions appear in the mind. Crafts that the body has never done before, And arts, letters, Symbols, languages, interdependence, and How Previously unseen, All these are experienced, And the sounds of earth, water, fire, and wind, One also gains mastery over these. In short, even the six superknowledges, This fortunate one obtains, The benefit of oneself and others, This person will accomplish. Thus it is said. Secondly, the measure of spontaneously accomplished Samādhi. Again, it says in that very text: The intention of the three bodies arising spontaneously, In short, the measure of experience is found in this way. One practices the yoga of the Nirmāṇakāya. Unprecedented great compassion, Arises supremely in one's own being. At this time, one obtains the Samādhi of the Nirmāṇakāya. The experience of clear and non-conceptual awareness, Is called the Samādhi of the Sambhogakāya. The body of immaculate, empty bindus, When it arises spontaneously without effort, Is the Samādhi of the Dharmakāya. The yogi possesses it.

This is obtained by this. (End quote.) Third, regarding the time of unwavering equanimity, there are two: the time when clear light manifestly appears, and the time when the source of instructions is established. The first is: Again, in that very (tantra) it says: When all appearances become self-liberated, and awareness is manifestly revealed, it is called the time of seeing the truth of realization. When all appearances arise spontaneously, and the seeds of experience increase, it is called the time when awareness itself is weighed on the scale. When the power of beings to arise is exhausted, and all consciousnesses look inward, it is the time when the source of awareness is established. When the nature of reality is free from conditions, and all appearances are spread out in bliss, it is called the time when the nature of reality, mother and child, are equal. When the light of truth of all the Buddhas fills and expands one's own body, and the body manifestly attains enlightenment, it is called the time of spontaneously attaining stability. (End quote.) Second, the time of establishing the source of instructions is: In the Self-Arisen (tantra) it says: When knowledge and awareness arise in the continuum, please recognize the face of reality. When realization arises in the continuum, please recognize the object of awareness. When samadhi becomes power, please recognize the perfectly pure lamp. When extraordinary power arises, please recognize the path of samadhi unfolding. When the body of awareness is seen, please know that there is no desire. When extraordinary wisdom arises in the continuum, please recognize the deception of demons. When the fearless conduct bursts forth, please recognize the direction of the entrance of wisdom. When emptiness pervades the realm, please recognize the light. When the lamp appears in the realm, please recognize the sphere and the realm. Thus it is said. In the Lion's Strength Perfected (tantra) it says: When appearances are fragmented, the wise should thoroughly examine them. When they are extremely subtle and moving, one should thoroughly abide in them through familiarity. When they are flickering, subtle, and moving, one should thoroughly grasp them through seeing. When they are round, subtle, and intertwined, the wise should stabilize unwavering samadhi. When they appear as dripping, shimmering, and misty, one should grasp the expansion of appearances through familiarity. When they appear perfectly and completely, the wise say that one should gather the appearances. When there is no attachment or clinging, the wise should know the means of grasping. This is the characteristic of familiarity with secret mantra. (End quote.)
