Because it does not rely on words, the analogy of dharma being liberated by dharma is like the fire that arises from wood burning that very wood. The single liberation does not rely on the liberating mind, so the analogy of mind-essence being liberated by mind is like breaking stones with stones. As it says in the Garland of Pearls: Since conditions are liberated by conditions, I do not rely on the object of focus. Since objects are liberated by objects, I do not rely on the two, grasper and grasped. Since cause is liberated by cause, I do not rely on the two, samsara and nirvana. Since dharma is liberated by dharma, I do not rely on nominal terms. Since mind-essence is liberated by mind, I do not rely on the signifying mind. Just as dirt is washed away by dirt, likewise purity is liberated by purity. Just as poison destroys poisons, and iron cuts iron, and stones break stones, and wood burns wood. Each one's own enemy is made by oneself. Liberation is not by dissimilar kinds. So it is. Moreover, by the key point that everything is complete in awareness, when awareness is liberated, all dharmas are liberated, just as when the foundation collapses, the dependent dharma collapses. Self-liberation and self-pacification, and being completely open in the expanse, is as it says in that very text: Therefore, in the ground-abiding awareness, since it is self-arisen, appearance is complete. Since it is self-originated, the ground itself is complete. Since it is self-appearing, the objects are also complete. Since it is self-liberated, the basis of confusion is complete. Since it is self-pure, all paths are complete. Since it is self-aware, knowable things are complete. Since it is self-pervading, the result is complete. Since it is self-ground, causes and conditions are complete. Since it is self-realized, the nature of dharma is complete. Since it is self-returning, samsara and nirvana are complete. Since it is self-abiding, tantras and agamas are complete. Since it is self-complete, it is complete in one moment. Since it is self-knowing, instructions are complete. Since it is self-established, contemplation is complete. Since it is self-inherent, the expanse is complete. So it is. Thus, that awareness which is complete and liberated is primordially pure from the very beginning, so it is without defilement. It is the ultimate point, so the continuum is exhausted. The single great bliss, beyond speech, thought, and expression. Primordially pure), the emptiness that is naturally pure. In general, it is not tainted by the increase of appearance, samsara, and nirvana. Dharma is exhausted, movement is ceased, it is beyond matter and awareness, and abides as the innate Buddha of the ground. As it says in the Garland of Pearls: Ema! The dharma of the great perfection of self-completion!

The body, from the beginning pure, exhausts defilements; from the first arising, lineage ceases; separated from the moon, transcends calculations; no cause for suffering, great bliss; no cause for expression, beyond speech and thought; from the beginning, self-awareness is completely pure. Because outflows are exhausted, it is not coarse; because things are exhausted, it abides in emptiness; no increase by two, the very essence; separated from dharma, transcends means; clear without thought, movement is purified; non-dual matter and awareness, two accumulations perfected; incomparable, naturally abiding; no fabricated words, pervading all; no thinking mind, free from memory; is the very nature, the innate state; is the unmade supreme, truly abiding. Thus, all outer appearances, including the inner body and mind, are realized as non-existent, like a clear appearance of the moon in water, mastering this skill. Those whose awareness is stable in the meaning like the sky, when dharma is exhausted, appearance and body are accomplished like the moon in water, without obstruction to walls and fences, and obtain immeasurable eyes and clairvoyance. Having seen the truth of the noble ones, they are liberated from rebirth, liberated in the ground of original purity. The atoms of the four elements are burned by the fire of wisdom, and like a dispersing mist, they show the magical display of the body in the expanse of the sky. If it transforms into benefit, then those atoms burned by the fire of wisdom are blessed as relics and remains; if it does not transform, then it is pacified in natural purity, and awareness abides in the realm of the Dharmakaya, and with the form body and activities, until samsara is empty, they benefit sentient beings. As the copper letter and the measure of signs say, although the four appearances have not reached their limit, they do not appear with a coarse body, but are liberated in the original ground, this is the intention. In the way of liberation in trekchö, it is said in the tantra of the heap of jewels: Without abandoning, abiding in its own state, all the words of this mind, without being taught by anyone, appear to each one's own mind. Just by understanding this in one's own mind, without appearing, without conceptual thought, all appearances are self-purified, all become the nature of original purity, transformed into the nature of great emptiness and clarity. The four elements, earth, water, fire, and wind, their respective powers do not appear, dissolving into the sky like a mist. The various deluded attachments, no matter how much one thinks,
