If this is understood, it will be expressed as "demolishing the house." Demolishing what exists, in reality, nothing is demolished. Therefore, the so-called "fruit of expression" is to place the appearance on whatever key point of the object appears. Because there is no clinging to the appearance of matter, it is the fruit of the non-duality of object and mind. Placing it on whatever knowledge manifests, because the house of the mind collapses naturally, it is the fruit of the spontaneous liberation of thoughts. Like this, because the ground of the non-duality of matter and awareness, the union of wisdom, is recognized, it is the fruit of non-existence. Like this, in the three times of the fruit, for the four key points of recognizing the time of vanishing, the sixteen dharmas of non-existence should be known as before. That is to say, the trekchö of the Great Secret Definitive Meaning Heart Essence is that the mind is originally non-existent, naturally liberated; thoughts are sudden, originally liberated. Other instructions consider the mind to be non-existent in the ultimate sense, but existent in the relative sense. Therefore, contemplation becomes two paths for the mind. Although the names are the same, such as self-liberation, self-arising, and self-abiding, the meanings are different. Because here it is made originally non-existent, while elsewhere it is considered that what exists becomes non-existent. Union is also, elsewhere it is considered that the two that exist are mutually related union, but here because it is originally non-existent, there is nothing to unite. On the nature of non-existence, there is no difference or boundary, the two are not different, so it is called non-dual union. This key point is the most supreme key point of all vehicles, which is both important and crucial. From this, it can be seen that appearance is not considered to be the mind, and the mind has never existed, but is shown as the great primordial liberation. Relying on this, it should be known that recognizing appearance as the mind, and recognizing the nature of the mind as emptiness, are not the views of the Heart Essence. If this occurs in some instructions, then it can be determined that this is only to guide those of lower capacity, and is not the ultimate meaning. Third, the appearance of objects manifests in the mind like reflections in a mirror, thereby expanding the six consciousnesses into great equality: all external appearances, internal thoughts and ideas, the six senses and their objects, all of these are just bright appearances of non-existence. In reality, whether internal or external, they do not exist anywhere. Although they appear in the mind like hazy hair, illusions, magic, and emanations, it should be known that at the moment of appearance, they have already transcended the limits of existence and non-existence. From the perspective of appearance, no matter how it is named, there will be no conflict. Let it be so! Let it not be so! Let it exist! Let it not exist!

Let it appear. Let it be empty. Let it be deluded. Let it be liberated. Let it be good. Let it be bad. Let it be mind. Let it be other. However it is labeled, from the perspective of emptiness, however it is labeled, it is initially empty by that very labeling. The label is mind. Mind is non-existent. Since there is no labeler for the non-existent, it is like the actions in a dream and the actions of an illusion. Appearances and arising, virtue and non-virtue, etc., are all sudden. Their essence is rootless and self-liberated. The inherent clarity of awareness is present, and if recognized, the view will not deviate from the nature of reality. All phenomena of existence, samsara, and nirvana, are non-existent within awareness, yet they self-arise and self-appear as a great display of luminosity. It is like the appearances of the four elements abiding in the sky, or like various dreams not moving from sleep and the awareness of sleep. Everything self-appears on the face of awareness, yet awareness does not see the deluded appearance of samsara, nor does it see the pure appearance of nirvana. Samsara and nirvana do not see awareness. Everything is unmoving from the state of rootless great equality. Because it is not established in essence, it transcends seeing and the seer. Because it arises from the nature of awareness, samsara and nirvana are merely labeled as the self-display or play of awareness. It is the great liberation beyond extremes of existence and non-existence. Labeling is not contradictory. It is not established in meaning. Non-existence merely appears as luminosity, and the phenomena of existence, samsara, and nirvana arise. As it is said in the Sixth Space: "In the stainless nature of mind, the appearance free from objects and conditions, is the view of self-perfect great perfection, I, Kuntuzangpo, have taught." And as it is said in the Jeweled Garland: "The thing that is nothing at all, does not fall to any side. The thing that is deluded into anything at all, merely appears as a similar appearance. However, its meaning does not arise, it appears like the adornment of the dharmadhatu." And it is said: "The great wisdom of emptiness, is deluded into anything at all from nothing at all." And as it is said in the Pearl Garland: "That is me, is the goer, is mind, is born from mind, is many and is one, samsara and nirvana are myself, mandala and so on enter in sequence, is dharma, is appearing as dharma, is abiding and is the goer, is sitting and lying and walking, is life and is also cutting, the three worlds are born from that, in short, however it appears, all phenomena from that"
