Diligent effort and, The clamor of people gathering, Originally is the emanation body, Who doesn't understand is truly dull. How to think and remember, Like a flowing river without interruption, Constantly attracting one's own mind, The effortless, self-abiding meditation, If not experienced, the mind is distracted. The appearances of vessel and essence, heard and known, Even when examined, have no inherent nature, Like the view of severing the continuity of a city, Never having seen the original abiding, Are the doors of the senses closed? Thus it is said. From the Consequence School it says: The nature of illusory appearances, Was not previously seen as wisdom. Since illusory thoughts with concepts have no basis, Realize the ground as the great Dharmakaya. The self-thoughts of illusion are cut off, Thus, the non-erroneous appearances, Arise from the key point of original liberation. The aggregates of beings are the Buddha's body, Who does not recognize that they are originally so? The aggregates are the sovereign lord of the Buddha, Accomplished from the letters in the root place. The wisdom in the eye like a water bubble, Who has not seen that it is self-appearing? Thus it is said. From the "String of Pearls" it says: For the phenomena of self-appearing nature, Because there is no impurity, subtle and coarse are reversed. Because there is no grasper and grasped, illusion is reversed. Because there is no movement, karmic winds are reversed. Because it is transparent, things are reversed. Because it is clear, emptiness is reversed. Because it is originally realized, generation stage is reversed. Because there is no effort, conduct is reversed. Because it is not sought but left as it is, meditation is reversed. Because it is self-liberated, appearances are reversed. Because it appears manifestly, view is reversed. Because there are no sounds or words, terms are reversed. Because it has never existed, attachment is reversed. Because it has never not existed, dependence on others is reversed. Because it is ungraspable, conceptual thought is reversed. Because it is unique, numerical limits are reversed. Because it pervades all, other-arising ceases. Because it is self-arisen, darkness is cleared. Because it is the essence, it pervades the Dharmakaya. Because it appears clearly, it expands as the Sambhogakaya. Because mother and child meet, the Nirmanakaya appears. Because it can be realized, it becomes the means. Because it is inconceivable, thoughts are cleared. Because there is no permanence or annihilation, the tenets are perfected. Thus it is said. Again it says: Beyond earth and direction and limits, There is no existence or non-existence or such appearances. It is not the object of sound measurements, One and two and Cannot be counted. Accomplished by abiding in the great emptiness. It is not the object of scripture and reasoning, It cannot be expressed by tantras and instructions, By view and meditation and conduct, One cannot know its meaning, Its meaning is accomplished as the fruit.

There is no obscuration. Dharma will obscure itself. It is not accomplished through thought, nor can it be measured by wisdom. Through generosity, discipline, and patience, it itself is free from the results of harm and benefit. Through hearing, thinking, and meditation, even if examined to the utmost, it is not seen. It does not have a mandala. There is no seed for creating deities. What is the use of mantras and mudras? There is no need for offerings and so on. Where are empowerment and vows? There is no approach and no accomplishment. There is no unfolding of the wheel. There is no protection, and no place to be protected. It transcends the realm of demons and harm. Thus it is said. In Rangshar it says: In Dzogchen Atiyoga, there is no view, meditation, or action. However, hold the good teachings in mind. Without practice, without effort, without aspiration, without fabrication, spontaneously perfect, that itself is the original meaning. Where are action and agent? This self-born nature of dharma without action, does not fall to any side, like the sky. It is not existence, but the only emptiness. It is not non-existence, but the body of true bliss. It is not made, but self-born non-thought. In Dzogchen Atiyoga, where is the nature of meditation? The dharma without abandonment and abiding. Liberated from the extremes of meditation and non-meditation. Without grasping, what is the defilement of mind? True awareness is without defilement. In the stainless pure Dharmakaya, there is no meditation and nothing to be meditated upon. True reality is not found through meditation. If it is found, self-awareness will cease to exist. Why is there no distraction or non-distraction in self-aware wisdom? For those who have grasping, there is no self-born wisdom. Thus it is said. Again, it says: The dharmas are like this: without birth, there is no cessation. Without grasping, there is natural liberation. Without an object, there is no elaboration. It is not made, but exists in all. It is not compounded, therefore it is the completely pure realm. The name of grasping is separate from dharma. Without self-nature, it is beyond expression. Thus it is said. In the Jeweled Garland it says: Ha! Ha! From no-dharma, dharma-nature arises. From no-object, it appears as an object. The wisdom of no-dharma is clear within, without memory, without object. Thus it is said. In the Lion's Roar it says: This dharma-nature without grasping or attachment, devoid of substance, is the supreme state of non-dual realization of the Buddhas. Separate thought, signs, and the path of words, without effort,
