Transcending liberation, seeing the groundless, self-arising great luminosity as dreamlike illusion or the nature of the sky. Perfected in the view of the vast expanse equal to space. From the Sixth Expanse: In the mind-essence without arising sensation, In the appearance of unthought-of superior seeing, It is said to be the view of exhaustion of going and coming. Samantabhadra, I have taught. In the mind-essence without grasping, In the unobstructed pure appearance, It is said to be the samadhi of great enjoyment. Samantabhadra, I have taught. In the mind-essence without holding, In the great self-arisen appearance, It is said to be the unobstructed non-conceptual view. Samantabhadra, I have taught. In the mind-essence without pain, In the appearance free from self-grasping, It is said to be the view of great self-abiding. Samantabhadra, I have taught. In the mind-essence without permanence or annihilation, In the appearance free from good and bad, It is said to be the view free from abandoning and adopting. Samantabhadra, I have taught. In the mind-essence without adopting or rejecting, In the appearance of impartial self-liberation, It is said to be the view of vast pervasion. Samantabhadra, I have taught. Thus it is. Fourth, its result is the purification of the place of afflictions. At that time, afflictions are not abandoned but do not remain, and the place is purified like clouds clearing in the sky, or turbidity clearing in water. Initially, there was no delusion. Now, it does not remain in delusion. Finally, it arrives at the basis where delusion is impossible. It is called a person who has abandoned the Dharma. Also, in that very text it says: In the mind-essence of the appearance of Dharmata, Bliss and self-grasping are purified in their own place. In the mind-essence of the appearance of self, Thoughts of attachment are purified in their own place. In the mind-essence of the appearance of selflessness, Separation is purified in its own place. In the mind-essence of the appearance of contaminated, The arising elements are purified in their own place. In the mind-essence of the appearance of uncontaminated, The stains of delusion are purified in their own place. Thus it is. This is the result of showing the view. The fourth meaning, the yoga of continuous practice on the result, has four aspects: the result of intrinsic purity, the method of awareness settling in its own place as its instruction, the view of the three existences being primordially pure, and the result of self-liberation of afflictions. First, like a king occupying the throne and not changing, the people subdued and not changing, and the ministers imprisoned and not changing, there are three. First, just as a royal lineage occupies its own throne and does not change after being enthroned from the crown of the head, awareness

Remaining in one's own ground, not changing from the nature of reality, is therefore remaining in one's own ground. Secondly, it is like when a king sends troops to a country and subdues its people, the king and his subjects have no place to change. The basis for the arising of the five consciousnesses is empty, so there is no name for samsara. Thirdly, it is like when a loyal minister of a king is captured by the king of another country, and that king has to listen to what the king of the other country says. In the same way, the flow of the consciousness of the mind is cut off, and its plan, awareness, gains autonomy. The fruit of meaning does not revert to being a cause, like the fruit of the Bael tree. It is not something that comes about through effort, but the meaning that is naturally present from the beginning naturally manifests, so it is called a fruit. Secondly, the method of this, the pith instruction of spontaneous abiding of awareness, is that everything is determined to be spontaneously arising, spontaneously abiding, and spontaneously liberated from the nature of awareness. Therefore, whatever awareness arises, it is left uncorrected and unadulterated in the place where it arises. As it says in the Sixth Space: In the nature of mind that can be attained, hope and doubt are self-purifying, free from effort and accomplishment, the three bodies are complete and self-sufficient. In the nature of mind that can be counted, the various vehicles arise spontaneously, not according to desire and speculation, the heart essence is completely perfect. In the nature of mind that can be focused on, various phenomena arise spontaneously, names and colors are different, the two aspects are completely transformed into form. In the nature of mind that can be measured, the objects of appearance arise as true, the place of trust arises spontaneously, complete with the object of focus. Thus. Thirdly, its view, the three existences are primordially pure, that is, all the clinging and conceptualization of the three doors, karma and habitual patterns are purified in the great self-liberation, so the view of being free from hope and fear of samsara and nirvana is attained. As it says in that same text: In the nature of mind without fear, the appearance of being free from hope and fear, is called the view of primordial abiding with confidence, taught by me, Samantabhadra. In the nature of mind without appearance, the appearance of a single subtle part, is called the view of great freedom from elaboration, taught by me, Samantabhadra. Thus. Fourthly, the fruit of self-liberation of afflictions is that at that time, whatever afflictions and conceptual thoughts arise, they cannot be established, they have no substance, and they are directly self-destroyed and self-liberated.
