I am training in appearances without attachment. Whatever appears, without attachment, without truth, appears in various ways, therefore it is not true, it changes without discrimination and is impermanent, so I train, and a feeling of detachment arises. By placing awareness without distraction on top of whatever appears of the five elements, a dream-like experience of liberation arises in that place of placement. Holding the mind in non-thought is that whatever appears, how awareness changes, the continuum of moments, without parts, free from thought, is naturally present, recognizing that and staying there, training in that way, a great samadhi of non-thought arises. Holding the mind in union is that when dualistic appearances arise, the appearance of dualistic grasping, by looking at that more and more, an experience of self-purification and great non-duality arises. By taking the bliss of the father and mother as the path, an experience of bliss-emptiness non-duality also arises. Taking the bardo as the path is meditating on awareness disappearing into the bardo, and meditating on all appearances and mind being still in the realm of space, without any support, and meditating on space and all phenomena being equal, an experience of great emptiness free from extremes arises. The meaning of those is also in the Union of Sun and Moon: By focusing the mind on the letter ཨ་ (Tibetan: ཨ་, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A), attachment to objects naturally ceases. By focusing the mind on the deity of generation, one purifies the impurities of the body. With the song of the vajra of speech, it satisfies the mind. By focusing the mind on the letter ཧཱུྃ་ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ་, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum), one purifies the impurities of speech. Whoever holds the mind on རཾ་ (Tibetan: རཾ་, Devanagari: रं, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ram), they purify all things. Whoever dwells on the letter ཧ་ (Tibetan: ཧ་, Devanagari: ह, Romanized Sanskrit: ha, Literal Chinese meaning: Ha), they exhaust all delusion. Whoever places the mind on ཕཊ་ (Tibetan: ཕཊ་, Devanagari: फट्, Romanized Sanskrit: phaṭ, Literal Chinese meaning: Phat), they dispel harm to body and speech. Whoever meditates on the bindu between the eyebrows, this makes one accustomed to the winds. Whoever holds the mind on the cause of the wooden staff, it blocks the doors of the senses. Whoever is accustomed to the tip of the nose, gathers the increasing elements back to their place. Whoever meditates on the self-light of the body, this makes one accustomed to the ground of the bardo. Whoever throws the mind into space, this makes one accustomed to emptiness. Whoever holds the mind in the ear, they enjoy sounds as they wish. Whoever holds the mind in the heart, this makes their thoughts naturally clear. Whoever dwells in emptiness, this stops their attachment to objects. Whoever meditates on the astonishment of emptiness, memory

All are instantly empty. Whatever one trains in the impermanent mind, this reverses the attachment to samsara. If one holds the mind on the five elements, then the signs of the body arise. Whatever non-conceptual wisdom one meditates on, this stops the attachment to signs. Whoever meditates on the bliss of the two entrances, this transforms desire into the path. Whoever makes space into the path, this also gains power over the mind. So it is. Furthermore, concerning the method of holding the mind on the objects of appearance, the five senses of form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, from the *Madhyamakavatara*: The eye, form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, train in the places of the five desires. Form is colors, shapes, and so on, the differences of crafts and arts, and various things like illusions. Sound is the lute, the sound of a pot, the mandolin, the clay drum, the flute, the panpipe, and so on. Smell is fragrance and mixtures, made with pleasing and profound dependent origination. Taste is sugarcane with six flavors, grape wine mixed in various ways, the combination of the limbs of dependent origination. Touch is when a wise person sits on a throne, the arising of interwoven combinations, and with some leaves of a tree, just by touching, in the nature of reality, one abides with an inseparable mind. So it is. In particular, concerning the sequence of making the four sounds into yoga, it is said in that: The sequence of training in the three bodies, mainly emphasizing the qualities of the elements, especially by training in the sounds of earth, water, fire, and wind, one will definitely accomplish it. Concerning the explanation of the sound of water, hold the sound of the dakini's voice. If one always becomes accustomed to this, then the nirmanakaya will definitely be accomplished. The sound of earth is cool and heavy, possessing the sound of the great Brahma. If one always listens and trains in this, then the sambhogakaya will definitely be accomplished. The sound of fire trains in lengthening, showing the tone of the great pervader. Whoever engages in listening to this, will definitely obtain the qualities of the dharmakaya. The sound of wind is sharp and loud, the voice of the king of garudas combined. If one always knows how to recite this, then it is the common training of the three bodies. Thus, the meaning of the sounds of the four elements, must definitely be combined with the external times. Winter, that is spring, and summer, autumn. Water and earth, that is fire and wind. Sequentially combine them with the times, and if you harmonize them with the body of the yogi, then accomplishment will definitely occur, there is no doubt about this. So it is.
