Since it abides in the plan, in the state of the spontaneously accomplished great perfection of the sphere and wisdom, without moving, it becomes the seed for the arising of the two purposes of benefiting beings without movement or effort of exertion. As it says in the "Six Spaces": The essence of primordial purity is wisdom, free from the stain of ignorance. The nature of spontaneously accomplished wisdom, free from the harm of deluded words. The compassion of all-pervading wisdom, all appears as connected in one sphere. Thus it is. If the aspect of the emptiness of the Dharmakaya does not have the wisdom plan or seed-like component that abides as the basis, then the Buddha would awaken from delusion and be cut off upwards, and sentient beings would revolve in delusion and be cut off downwards, and it would not be reasonable to have those to be tamed and those who tame. From the wisdom that abides as the basis, it arises as an outward appearance. As long as samsara exists, the benefit of sentient beings arises from the compassion of the power of nature, the complete clarity of knowledge and awareness. As it says in the "Collected Meanings": From the nature of the emptiness of the Dharmakaya, the aspect of the perfection of wisdom and knowledge, by power it appears to sentient beings. Without that, samsara and nirvana would be cut off. By knowledge, it is known and clear. From the nature of self-awareness, the compassion of the power of nature itself, is unceasing and without cessation. Thus it is. Second, the five wisdoms of the Sambhogakaya are those that hold their own characteristics. For Vairochana, the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu is the main one, and the other four are present as retinue. For Akshobhya, mirror-like wisdom is the main one. For Ratnasambhava, equality is the main one. For Amitabha, discriminating awareness is the main one. For Amoghasiddhi, accomplishing activity is the main one. The remaining four are each present as retinue, so there are twenty-five wisdoms, and if they are separated from that, they are immeasurable. If they are gathered together, they are collected into five. As it says in the "Self-Arisen": The distinction of wisdom is like this, from the essence of twenty-five, if gathered together, they are collected into five aspects. Thus it is. How are they collected? As it says in the "Collected Meanings": The wisdom of the Sambhogakaya holds characteristics, with the reality of the object being pure, it is like a mirror, the images of samsara and nirvana are clear. Without partiality, it is equality. Indicating the object of the senses, it is discriminating awareness. Accomplishing activity not by effort, it is accomplishing activity. Without difference, it is the Dharmadhatu. Thus it is. These have already been explained in detail before, so I will not elaborate further. Third, the two wisdoms of the Nirmanakaya are those that pervade all knowable objects, knowing all that is encompassed by appearance, and emptiness.

Knowing all things in all ways, he knows all relative truths without confusion, and guides the infinite assembly of disciples' faculties, realms, and latent tendencies. Knowing the ultimate nature of reality, he manifests the teachings of emptiness, signlessness, and luminosity. As it says in the *Other Tantras*: "The emanation body has knowable objects; knowing 'as it is,' it understands the reality of things for its own benefit; knowing 'as many as there are,' it understands how the minds of those to be tamed abide. Thus, from the manifestation of compassion, the beings to be tamed are diverse, and the bodies that tame them are just as numerous." If we clearly summarize the meaning of these wisdoms by gathering them into the three kayas, then for such a Buddha, in the state of the Dharmakaya, the three wisdoms are complete on the ground: the wisdom of essence purity, the wisdom of self-arisen perfection, and the wisdom of all-pervading compassion. Because these three are without distinction, the basis for knowing arises spontaneously from the clarity of awareness. In the state of the Sambhogakaya, the five wisdoms that grasp characteristics are individually clear: the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, the mirror-like wisdom, the wisdom of equality, the wisdom of discernment, and the wisdom of accomplishing activities. These are not object and subject, but the direct appearance of self-clarity. In the time of the Nirmanakaya, the wisdom of knowing abides in two: the two wisdoms of knowing 'as it is' and 'as many as there are.' These two are also not with action and agent, but are known in the manner of effortless spontaneity. Thus, the three wisdoms that are the nature of the three kayas of the Buddha are: the wisdom that knows all aspects of phenomena and the peaceful aspect of reality, in dependence on the appearance of the two, appearance and emptiness, of the knowable objects of the outward appearance of the Nirmanakaya; the wisdom that knows all things, in dependence on the self-clarity of the appearance of knowable objects of the directly self-appearing luminosity wisdom of the Sambhogakaya; and the wisdom of the essence of the inner clarity of the Dharmakaya, which is just a part of the basis of the ground, abiding in the realm of self-knowing in its own place of original purity, abiding in the aspect of the purity of the realm. As it says in the *Lamp That Illuminates*: "The perfectly complete Buddha has three kinds of wisdom: the wisdom of knowing all aspects, the wisdom of knowing all things, and abiding on the ground."
