Entering the great path of the Earth itself. Firstly, the outer elements are: the five elements of the body, namely earth, water, fire, wind, and space. Because they hold and generate appearances, they are considered "outer." The elemental forms of the outer appearing realm are not called "things." The manner in which the five coarse elements of the body dissolve individually is also twofold: the five outer elements dissolving into the five inner elements, and the five inner elements dissolving into the five outer elements. The first case is: at the time of death, firstly, the power of each of the five elements is no longer as before. Earth dissolves into earth, and strength is lost; water dissolves into water, and moisture gathers; fire dissolves into fire, and warmth diminishes; wind dissolves into wind, and breathing becomes difficult; space dissolves into space, and the clarity of consciousness is lost, and memory becomes unclear. The second case also has outer and inner aspects. The four outer elements are: the initial inner elements dissolve into the outer elements, and the extremely pure ones dissolve into the secret elements. Among the first five, the first outer element is: the five inner earths dissolve into the five outer earths, and the body's strength is lost, and memory fades; the five waters dissolve into water, and the body's fluids drain, and for a moment the mouth and nose become dry, and the eyes turn upwards; the five fires dissolve into fire, and the body's warmth is lost, memory ceases, and the lamp disappears; the five winds dissolve into wind, and the body loses its luster, and breathing becomes labored, and for a moment it ceases. Then, the manner in which the inner elements dissolve is: the five spaces are recognized as dissolving into the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu. Then, the manner in which the five extremely pure inner elements dissolve into the five secret elements is: the extremely subtle parts of the five elements dissolve into life, and the five lives enter the wisdom at the center of the heart, dissolving into the light channel, and the space within it, the bindu, and the self-nature wisdom of the five lights, which is the one with the house of light. Then, those five secret elements that initially reside in the life-wind, the completely perfect great elements, the self-radiance of the ground-appearance wisdom, in the light channel in the heart, the self-nature possessing the wisdom house of light, possessing a realm of infinite light, dissolve together with the appearances of the four lamps, and merely as a part of the Dharmata Bardo's self-radiance manifesting outwards, separating the impure dharmas of inner and outer from the part of samsara, the wisdom returns from the ground, going to its original, primordial purity. Among these, especially at the time when the inner elements dissolve into the outer elements, when earth dissolves into earth, the power of emptiness matures, Ye

Consciousness becomes dull. The clarity of wisdom is unable to manifest on the path of wisdom due to the weakening of the power of perception. When water merges into water, the moisture of wisdom flows from the mouth and nose due to the dullness of perception. Although there is no change in the clarity of the wisdom of perception, it becomes dull because it cannot manifest its power. When fire merges into fire, originally one's own perception exists in the essence of wisdom. But at that time, because it enters into the wind, the power cannot manifest outwardly. When wind merges into wind, the power of perception is perfected, and it no longer dwells on objects. When the body's strength is lost, it is because the merits of wisdom become dull. When space merges into space, perception merges into the bardo, which is the time when wisdom attains its own place. It appears in the self-manifesting perception because it is close to being free from obstructive bonds. That is also the part of the foundational appearance of spontaneous accomplishment within the body, which is called the intermediate state at this time. Because the five elements merge into obstructive things, and perception exists in the self-place of inner luminosity. Therefore, when the body exists, the natural sound of the Dharma, which relies on the channels within the heart, manifests from the body through the eyes. Although it is called the Dharma nature intermediate state, there is nothing else that appears other than perception and its self-sound. When it merges and disappears, it is only the attainment of the self-place of primordial purity. Because the inner arising is somewhat difficult, it is explained separately. The rest is understood through the text itself, so it is not explained separately here. Those are also, from the self-manifestation of perception: Alas! Friends, when sentient beings transfer bodies, the outer five elements merge into the inner five elements. The inner five elements merge into the secret five elements. The secret five elements merge into the completely perfect arising, and when entering the great path, it should be understood in this way. Then, as a sign of the inner five elements merging into the outer, it should be understood in this way. Earth merges into earth, water merges into water, fire merges into fire, wind merges into wind, and space merges into space. Among them, there are two types of earth merging into earth: the outer earth merging into the inner earth, and the inner earth merging into the outer earth. The time when the outer earth merges into the inner earth is the initial time. The time when the inner five elements merge into the outer is the sign of the inner earth merging into the outer earth, and the body's strength disappears. It is like this, the sign of the universally appearing earth merging is the outer perception
