Therefore, this is a sign of accomplishing deeds. Like the great accomplished yogi Lhetsun Sengye Wangchuk. The way a yogi dies after perfecting practice is: for example, just as a great fire dies out when the fuel is exhausted, similarly, when the elements are exhausted, the compounded body disappears without a trace, which is a sign that the afflictions are liberated in their own place. For example, in Tsari, the two mothers of Dampa Gyer emitted light from a cave and ascended into the sky. When the vase of the subtle body of a yogi in the state of primordial purity (ka dag) breaks, they merge into one without any before or after. This is a death like the sky. The space between the appearance of the body is like the sky separated by matter. The realization of primordial purity abides in the luminosity of the heart within the body. Just as when a pot is broken, the outer sky and the sky within the pot merge and cannot be distinguished, similarly, when the subtle particles of the body dissolve, one cannot distinguish which is the aggregate of the body and which is the awareness within it, and thus one attains enlightenment. This is a sign of complete liberation in the state of primordial purity. Among them, the death of the sky and the dakinis is the death in which the subtle particles of the body dissolve and are liberated through the cutting through of primordial purity (trekchö). The death of the fire and the vidyadharas is the death in which they are liberated in spontaneous transcendence (tögal lhundrup). From where does such a death come? It is because of the sign of trusting in the Great Perfection of inherent nature, so one does not accept common philosophical views. It is because of the sign of understanding its meaning, so one sees the meaning directly and does not follow speculative words. Because one has understood the realization of primordial purity, one knows where one's future path will lead. Because there is no fear or anxiety about death, one does not perform any rituals of prolonging life or ransoming death. Because one has gained confidence in abiding in the state free from effort, one does not engage in any activities of body, speech, or mind. Because one realizes that everything is the rootless, primordial emptiness, one is free from clinging to anything as a real entity, and the meaning of not separating even for a moment from the nature of reality dawns. For such yogis, there is no need to examine, deceive, or instruct about death. Because they have transcended view, meditation, and action, Dharma cannot benefit or harm them. Because self-appearance arises as primordial purity and spontaneous perfection, the place of liberation arises naturally, the spontaneous perfection of primordial purity.

It is for liberation by dissolving into me. It is also said in the "Union of Sun and Moon": The yogi should contemplate in this way. The last faculty dissolves into the last, continuing in the bardo of existence, like a fox with a severed tail. Similarly, the middling faculties, the way of dying like a wild animal, is the way of dying of a yogi. Similarly, like a lion, and like a beggar, and dying like a young child, is the place of death for a middling yogi. Like the way of dying of a dakini, and like the way of dying of a vidyadhara, self-consuming like a fire, and disappearing into the sky like a garuda, all these are the elements self-dissolving, not appearing, not taking, like this is the realm of practice for a superior yogi, accustomed to this, one finds self-force. Knowing these at the time of death, one knows the characteristics of the transference of body and mind. For the yogi abiding in this way, there is no constant or impermanent cause of death. Similarly, free from all fears, also free from the attachment to the body. By view and meditation alone, there is no benefit or harm to the one with yoga. Without benefit or harm, there is no result, therefore, there is no place to abide in this. Free from the ripening of cause and effect, therefore, habituating to this is the best. Self-arising, self-liberating, the realm of unborn, before time changes, appearance changes, spontaneously accomplished, dissolving into the realm of primordial purity, free from the extremes of hope and fear, the end of the two extremes of cause and effect, the realm of primordial purity, non-dual of dharmadhatu and awareness. Therefore, it is enough to realize this meaning, unmade, spontaneously perfect, great perfection. Thus it is said. Second, explaining in detail the way the elements dissolve, there are two: dying from a sudden cause, the way of consciousness transference of a bodhisattva; and not from a sudden cause, but gradually transferring. The first is, for those who die suddenly from falling, fire, water, cliffs, and weapons, without time for the elements to gradually dissolve, consciousness transfers, those with bad karma fall into bad realms, those with good karma are reborn in good realms, seeing this door and practicing little, they are reborn in the upper heavens with bliss or in the self-nature nirmanakaya. The second is, The outer five elements dissolve into the inner five elements, the inner five dissolve into the secret five, the secret five dissolve into the complete five, and then the clear light cho.
