Having taken birth in an illusory body, for sixty-eight thousand years, abiding here to benefit sentient beings, this is what this man does. Thereafter, from the essence of its own nature, in Jambudvipa and other continents, with sixty kotis of emanations, each taking a body suitable to itself, to benefit sentient beings, this is what it does, O Dakini. Thereafter, in the essence of primordial purity, like rays of sunlight converging, its own emanations, together with itself, dissolve into its own essence, without separation, becoming indivisible. Just as water dissolves into water, just as oil dissolves into oil, just as space dissolves into space, the essence becomes unrecognizable. Thus it is. The experience of inner knowing is that, from self-arising, it is also endowed with bliss, without attachment to the world, all appearances arise as light, in the light one sees the uninterrupted assembly of forms, without grasping, the body is at ease, awareness becomes one-pointed, awareness is naturally relaxed, awareness is not distracted, awareness does not enter into other things, awareness realizes that there is nothing whatsoever, awareness is unchanging, awareness is clear without obstruction, awareness arises without conceptualization, awareness is self-liberated without grasping, attachment to outer and inner phenomena is small, and there is no clinging or attachment to the body. Fifth, the nature of rigpa, its definition, divisions, characteristics, and results, are five in number. The nature is that it appears as the Vajra Garland, as it says in "The Lion's Perfect Strength": "The reality of self-arising rigpa abides in the garland of wisdom." Thus it is. The definition is that formerly it was not rigpa, but through the guru's instructions it becomes rigpa, therefore it is called rigpa. There are three divisions. The rigpa of the ground is the ground of reality, the way things are, beyond good, evil, faults, and virtues. The rigpa of the path's appearance is known by various philosophical schools as mind-essence, unborn, co-emergent wisdom, beyond intellect, the all-ground of meaning, bodhicitta, and so on. Whatever name is given, it pervades all Buddhas and sentient beings, each one's own wisdom, self-luminous, empty and clear, naked and distinct. The rigpa of higher seeing is the body of the Vajra Garland appearing directly, thus liberated from the confines of mental concepts and words. Good.

There is no clear increase or decrease of sin, fault, and merit. If one diligently focuses on it without distraction, the rainbow body will be accomplished. Its nature is: this very naked, self-luminous awareness. Its result is: practicing it leads to liberation in primordial purity. Usually, the three kayas are considered the result, but here, by making it the path, not accomplishing the ultimate liberation of the primordial purity, body and wisdom, but considering the unceasing appearances as a crystal-like fruit, this is a great difference. The signs of such mastery of awareness are: it can be seen from the burning of the corpse. Whoever is accustomed to awareness, these are the signs on his body: he can insert his own awareness into any object of focus; wherever he is, the body also follows the guidance of awareness; he can transform the faith of others; thoughts and attachments naturally dissolve; he possesses inner signs. Whoever directly recognizes this, can, by virtue of his innate fortune, attain the supreme accomplishment of the unborn. As it is said in 'Total Destruction': As a result of practicing in this way, the signs and measures are as follows: the body is light and appears empty; it does not touch the ground and is unobstructed; the power of speech is complete, the essence of speech is exhausted; the mind is able to transfer; the senses of the eye, ear, nose, tongue, and body are all exhausted, reaching a state of no self-nature. This is what was said. Third, by explaining the differences in other signs, to fully understand the various stages of the path, there are three aspects: In general, showing the signs of attaining the unborn state; specifically explaining the signs of merit; separately explaining the differences in the mixture of the three signs. First, for a yogi who is confident in having realized primordial purity, the signs that he will no longer take birth in samsara are: the absence of living creatures on the body, and the cessation of hair and nail growth. After that, three months later, others will see him in the midst of five-colored light, rising into the sky in the form of the five Buddha families and disappearing. As it is said in 'Burning Corpse': Whoever has completely cut off the unborn, such signs will also appear in that person. Whoever possesses these signs has the same fortune as me. Worms, lice, etc. on the body, all of these have ceased the root of birth. Whose hair and nails, all of these no longer grow, the root is cut off.
