Meat and various kinds of meat originate from and depend on the heart. Cutting, tearing, pounding, and piercing these things shorten life, while liberation from illness can be achieved through the interdependent connection of bloodletting and cauterization. Just as the growth of trees and the like from the earth eventually becomes fuel for fire, the third chakra is the primary function of fire. It generates the body's heat, senses, and color. If the heat is too high, it becomes the source of fever, leading to the body's illness and death. If the heat is too low, it leads to cold diseases, thereby causing illness and death. When the elements are balanced, liberation is achieved through the interdependent connection of natural law. Similarly, just as the heat of fire is stirred by the wind and burns more intensely, the fourth chakra is the function of wind. The activities of the subconscious and conscious mind disrupt the functioning of the body's various elements, leading to illness and death.
