The great Dharma. Explaining in accordance with individual experiences. There is no past, no future, no present. There is no separation or distinction whatsoever. Everything is self-arisen wisdom. Thus it is said. Incidentally, the five perfections gathered by a single mind are: The perfection of place, in the vast space of the realm. The perfection of the teacher, gathering the collection of illusory appearances of one's own mind. The perfection of the retinue, the five external objects, the collection of internal thoughts, which are the illusory appearances of the six aggregates of habitual patterns. The perfection of the doctrine, the phenomena of grasping, clinging, ego, karma, afflictions, and samsara. The perfection of time, from beginningless time, grasping appearances with consciousness, the time of contemplation, meditation, and the maturation of the habitual patterns of the higher realms. In short, the arising of illusory appearances in the mind, the five phenomena of one's own mind in samsara, are taught by summarizing them under the name of the five perfections. As it is said in the Tantra of the Heap of Jewels: From the aspects of appearing and grasping, external objects appear as the retinue. Thus it is said. Secondly, the common introduction is explained in detail, as it is said in the Thalya: The teacher teaches the retinue with words, the chief of the wonderful and supreme gathering of teachings, the common introduction, cause and condition, in order to be slightly consistent with others and the scriptures, is called common. Thus it is said. Just as it appears in the Sutras and Tantras of the common vehicles, in this Tantra of Great Secret Certainty as well, after the uncommon introduction, it is said, "Thus have I heard, at one time," and so on. This is both to show that all the Sutras of the vehicles are consistent, and because the uncommon is where the meaning lies, therefore, in order to explain its meaning, and to dispel doubts such as where, when, by whom, and to whom this Dharma was taught, the common introduction is taught. How is it taught? Wherever the Tantra arises, at that time, the three bodies of that teacher are of one essence, therefore it must be taught. The manner is: The Dharmakaya teaches by blessing the essence of the meaning, the Sambhogakaya teaches by clearly and purely revealing its own nature, the Nirmanakaya teaches it with well-arranged words, like the form of sixty melodious sounds. These words also come from the nominal consciousness of the listener, but in reality, there is no sound or letter in the meaning, as it is said in the Uttaratantra: Like the sound of a rock, there are no letters. Thus

The sound is an echo, Arising from the consciousness of others, Without discrimination and without fabrication, Thus are the words of the Thus-Gone-One, Without discrimination and without fabrication, Not abiding in either inside or outside. In such a manner. Therefore, there are three places where the tantra arises: the place of the Dharmakaya, in the great palace of the Dharmadhatu, the teacher Samantabhadra, to the assembly of the wisdom ocean of retinue, proclaims the Great Perfection of the self-nature of Dharma, at the time of transcending time and the expression of Dharma-nature, without words or letters. The place of the Sambhogakaya, in the Pure Land of Dense Array, the teacher Sambhogakaya Buddha Vairocana, to the retinue of the five Buddha families and the five consorts such as the Space-Sphere Rich Mother, and the Bodhisattvas such as Ksitigarbha, and the Consorts such as the Charming Mother, and the self-manifested mandala filling the space-sphere, proclaims the unsurpassed Dharma of the Great Vehicle, the sound of the six syllables, although not uttered from the tongue, yet makes them understand, is at the time of the self-manifestation of wisdom. The place of the Nirmanakaya, in Tushita Heaven and so on, the teacher Vajradhara, Vajrasattva appears as the body of wisdom illusion, to the retinue of the guides of the fortunate aeon who transcend the world, and Bodhisattvas, Siddhas, wisdom Dakinis, and worldly retinues of gods, humans, asuras, garudas, gandharvas, nagas, and so on, countless beings, proclaims the inconceivable Dharma of sutras and tantras, for a time ranging from countless aeons to a hundred years. These are called the perfection of place and time, as the "Tha-gyur" says: "The basis is of five aspects, the place is thought to be three." This is the meaning. The "Heap of Jewels Sutra" also says: Those who grasp the self-purified Dharmakaya, In the palace of non-conceptual self-purity, In the manifestation wheel inseparable from it, With the word of no characteristics, The Dharmas of non-conceptuality, Non-abiding, self-exhausting, born from the mind. Unspoken and without speaking, Shown in the nature of great equality. The self-luminous pure Sambhogakaya, From the palace of five-light purity, With the word of non-conceptual great bliss, To the retinue of the five family lineages, The Dharmas of insubstantial purity
