is the nature itself. Letters are like wish-fulfilling jewel clouds. This is it. Secondly, in the center of the four chakras of the body, the three channels, Ro, Kyang, and Kuntarma, exist like pillars. Among them, the three self-arisen letters, Ā (藏文:ཨཱ་,梵文天城体:आ,梵文罗马拟音:ā,汉语字面意思:阿), Āḥ (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:आः,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿), and Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ་,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), reside in three colors: white, red, and blue. Outwardly, they are the support for body, speech, and mind. Inwardly, they are the support for the three poisons of afflictions. Secretly, they are the support for the three kayas: body, speech, and mind. They possess the radiance of five lights. In the petals of the four chakras, there are sixteen vowel letters representing the father and mother, method and wisdom, and thirty-four consonant letters. They are single, doubled, attached, and divided into branches, totaling eighty-four thousand. All of these outwardly support the aggregates, elements, and sense bases of the body, and are the cause for the arising of speech and expression. Inwardly, they support the eighty-four thousand thoughts of afflictions, and are the support for the arising of various thoughts day and night. Secretly, at the time of purification, they are the support for the arising of so many doors of Dharma. Moreover, each consonant letter is closely associated with the sound of the sixteen vowel letters. The form of the letter is also superimposed with the sound that arises from it. For example, "ཀ་ཀཱ་" means that because it contains the life force "ཨ་", it is called "ཨ་ཨཱ་". As stated in the "Praise of Names": "A is the best of all letters, It arises from the heart, without birth." "ཀི་ཀཱི་" is "ཨི་ཨཱི", "ཀུ་ཀཱུ་" is "ཨུ་ཨཱུ", "ཀེ་ཀཻ་" is "ཨེ་ཨཻ", "ཀོ་ཀཽ་" is "ཨོ་ཨཽ", "ཀྲ་ཀྲ་" is "ར་རའོ". "རི་རཱི་" and "ལི་ལཱི་" are summarized as "ཀི་ཀཱི" because they have the life force "ཨ་". "ཨཾ་ཨཿ" is called "ཀཾ་ཀཿ". Among the root letters of these, the double letter "ཀྐ་" means great, and those like "གྷ་ཛྷ་དྷ་བྷ་" mean thick. Triple and quintuple letters, etc., are called letters of the same essence. Similar ones are read together, and dissimilar ones are read separately. They exist in the channels in this way. For different essences such as body, speech, mind, and the five wisdoms, the letters are also the same, just with the appearance of five lights, as if they were written with paint. They are naturally clear in the center of the white and red essences and the wind. Now, those whose channel letters are clear have clear memory and great wisdom, while those whose channel letters are unclear are the opposite. Age...

In youth, when the root channels are clear, intelligence is sharp and procreation is pure. In old age, when the root channels become unclear, decline occurs. Third, the letters of sound are all the utterances of speech. The cause is the movement of the root channels by wind, and the condition is the action of the tongue and palate. That is, sounds that arise from the abdomen, like the letter A (ཨ་,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,字面意思:阿); sounds that arise from the throat, like the letter Ka (ཀ་,梵文天城体:क,梵文罗马拟音:ka,字面意思:嘎) and so on; sounds that arise from the tip of the tongue, like Ta, Tha (ཏ་ཐ་,梵文天城体:त थ,梵文罗马拟音:ta tha,字面意思:达塔) and so on; sounds that arise from the meeting of the tip of the tongue and the palate are said to arise from the crown of the head, like Ra, La (ར་ལ་,梵文天城体:र ल,梵文罗马拟音:ra la,字面意思:拉拉); sounds that arise from the forceful joining of the tongue and palate, like Tta, Ttha (ཊ་ཋ་,梵文天城体:ट ठ,梵文罗马拟音:ṭa ṭha,字面意思:扎塔); and sounds that arise from the lips, like Pa, Pha, Ba, Bha, Ma (པ་ཕ་བ་བྷ་མ་,梵文天城体:प फ ब भ म,梵文罗马拟音:pa pha ba bha ma,字面意思:巴巴巴巴玛). Whatever sound is uttered, it arises in dependence on those places. Fourth, the letters of the ultimate fruition are the speech of the Buddha appearing as the sixty branches of melody, and from the pure root channels of the Sambhogakaya, letters emanate and resound in the sky as the Dharmadhatu. Letters emanate and transform into the body of the Buddha and so on, accomplishing the benefit of sentient beings. The root letters of the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya are adorned with the appearance of the five wisdoms. Based on the existence of these, at the time of Buddhahood, countless categories of Sutras and Tantras appear to beings, and emanations accomplish the benefit of sentient beings. Second, there are five ways to explain the specific determination of location: briefly stating the root letters, extensively differentiating the explanation of the branches, determining the explanation of Samsara and Nirvana, explaining the location and enjoyment, and showing the way of expressing these. The first is: Ka, A, Kha, Ga, Nga; Tsa, Tsha, Dza, Wa; Tta, Ttha, Dda, Na; Ta, Tha, Da, Na; Pa, Pha, Ba, Ma; Ya, Ra, La; Sha, Sha, Sa, Ha, Ksha (ཀ་ཨ་ཁ་ག་ང་། ཙ་ཚ་ཛ་ཝ། ཊ་ཋ་ཌ་ཎ། ཏ་ཐ་ད་ན། པ་ཕ་བ་མ། ཡ་ར་ལ། ཤ་ཥ་ས་ཧ་ཀྵ,梵文天城体:क अ ख ग ङ; च छ ज व; ट ठ ड ण; त थ द न; प फ ब म; य र ल; श ष स ह क्ष,梵文罗马拟音:ka a kha ga ṅa; ca cha ja va; ṭa ṭha ḍa ṇa; ta tha da na; pa pha ba ma; ya ra la; śa ṣa sa ha kṣa,字面意思:卡阿卡嘎阿,擦擦杂瓦,扎扎达纳,塔塔达纳,巴巴巴玛,亚拉拉,沙沙萨哈叉). In these thirty-four places, all letters are shown to be contained. Determining the meaning of these is as follows: In Rigpa Rangshar (Awareness Self-Arisen) it says: "Ah! Listen, close attendants. Hold well in mind what I have taught. The intention of all Buddhas is not in words and letters, yet it appears as words and letters. However, it elucidates the great meaning of words. It is contained in the syllables of letters. The explanation of these meanings is as follows: The cause of generating all letters is known to be perfectly complete in the letter Ka The conclusion of all Dharmas is complete in the letter A (ཨ་,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,字面意思:阿).
