. Thus it is said. The second has five parts. Its essence is the supreme secret method of directly realizing the truth of the self-originated wisdom, the luminosity of the dharmadhatu, and it is a category for measuring the spontaneously accomplished dharmadhatu of the generation and completion stages. The definition is that it is praised as "mantra" because it saves beings from afflictions and quickly accomplishes enlightenment. The need is to quickly liberate the sharpest of the sharp faculties. The result is to achieve the supreme state of the protector Vajradhara in one lifetime, in the bardo, or through lineage. There are two divisions: the outer is the vehicle of the tantras of action, and the inner is the vehicle of the tantras of means. As it is said in Rigpa Rangshar: "There are two kinds of Vajrayana: the outer is the tantra of action, and the inner is said to be the tantra of means." Thus it is said. Why is mantra placed in the tantra? The main reason is that it measures the luminosity of the dharmadhatu of the individual's continuum, so it is said. The first is also divided into three: the vehicle of the action tantra Kriya (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), the vehicle of both tantras Ubaya (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), and the vehicle of the yoga tantra Yoga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思). As it is said in that very text: "There are three kinds of outer tantras: Kriya (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), Ubaya (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), and Yoga (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思)." Thus it is said. The first is that by practicing the three purifications and pure conduct, one cultivates oneself and the deity as lord and subject, thereby desiring to obtain accomplishments. This is divided into two: focusing on purification and focusing on concentration. The former is to take a bath and keep pure conduct, meditating on the body as the deity's form, that is, performing three baths, changing three clothes, consuming three white foods, consuming three sweets, and so on. The way in which this is superior to the lower one is that it does not regard conventional appearances as true, but focuses on three objects of focus, that is, focusing on the deity's image, so that all appearances are clear as the deity's form, and because form is not abandoned, it does not abide in the extremes of one and many. Focusing on the syllables, so that all sounds are clear as the deity's speech, so that mantras are recited, and it does not abide in the arising and ceasing of the four births, because the extent of the sound is none other than the deity's speech. Focusing on the hand gestures, so that all thoughts are clear as the deity's mind, so that all thoughts do not go beyond meditation, and it does not abide in great dependent origination.

Merely on the conventional level, there is neither arising nor production. On the ultimate level, the deity of the Yidam is the Wisdom Hero, while I am the Vow Hero. Viewing the two as master and servant pacifies obstacles and attains accomplishments. Relying on common accomplishments, one does not abandon the conventional; relying on supreme accomplishments, one does not cultivate the ultimate, thus it is particularly excellent. The main focus is to meditate on the visualized deity through the subtle intermingling of the generation stage and completion stage, visualizing form, sound, and thoughts as the body, speech, and mind of the deity. Through purification, one mainly performs the cleanliness of body and speech; through focus, one mainly performs the meditation of the mind. As it is said, in the 'Self-Arisen Wisdom': The tenets of Kriya Yoga are, the entrance is the three purifications, entering through bathing and cleanliness. The vows to be protected are as follows: do not drink water from the same river, and act without distraction. Perform the three pure actions, what are the three purifications? The purification of the deity and mandala, the purification of substances and enjoyments, the purification of mantra and samadhi. The view of realization is as follows: the deity and the yogi are the two purities, viewing them as master and servant. The order of abandonment is as follows: abandon meat, fish, garlic, and also wine, etc., and be attached to samadhi. Such is Kriya Yoga. The fifth meaning is that the Tantra of Both, Upaya, its conduct is like Kriya Yoga, but its view is considered to be Yoga, therefore it is called 'the Yoga of the Eunuch'. Also, by abiding in bathing and cleanliness, the three doors of body, speech, and mind are purified, and through the five manifest enlightenments, etc., one cultivates the mandala of Supreme Joy, etc. Also, in the 'Self-Arisen Wisdom' it says: Upaya is like this, the view is the view of Yoga, the conduct is the conduct of Kriya Yoga, therefore it is called the Tantra of Both. The sixth meaning is that the Yoga of Yoga Tantra, through the door of the five manifest enlightenments, one views oneself and the deity as brothers and friends, thereby practicing vows and cleanliness, hoping to attain the fruit, the state of the Great Bliss Wheel. The divisions are: mainly performing actions and mainly performing meditation. The first is the action of performing ritual actions, namely Action Supreme Joy and Mandala Supreme Joy.
