The permanence of non-emptiness is the doctrine of the permanent vehicle, the doctrine of permanent steadfastness. The substance of the permanent cause is like this: from the mandala of one's own mind, not born from the cause of the father, nor relying on the condition of the mother, if it is very large, it is like a pea; if it is very small, it is like a mustard seed; even smaller, it is like the tip of a hair; it is oily, round, white, and clear. Likewise, the nature of the cause is inherently unchanging and always exists. This and the accumulation of habitual tendencies are inseparable and dwell as one, therefore it is considered the doctrine of the permanent cause. The permanent fruit is like this: by relying on and worshiping Phya or the Great Lord, through its merits, even if this first body is abandoned, it is born in its own place. Because it is done by Phya or the Great Lord, it is considered the permanent fruit. Permanence and annihilation, these two, are incompatible in their respective meanings. Thus it is said. Secondly, to explain in detail the meaning of the sixty branches of these, again from that very source: The view of the Samkhyas is like this: they consider the three, atoms, darkness, and courage, to be permanent. And they consider ignorance to be the basis, desire to generate happiness, and anger to repel armies. This is the view of the Samkhyas. The view of the Vaisheshikas is like this: they regard the external aggregates, elements, and sense bases as extremely minute particles. And first, after the one who grasps has grasped, counting the atoms and the extremely minute, this is the cause and condition of destruction, this is the cause and condition of emptiness without anything. After abandoning this body, the mind relies on the habitual tendencies of space, this body relies on the habitual tendencies of the elements, and it dwells on the edge of nothingness and emptiness. The doctrine of Kumaras is considered like this, they consider the body without mind. The body has no mind, and because there is no mind, when the body is abandoned, it is considered to be empty without anything. The doctrine of those who do not pierce the ears is like this: in this appearance, it is seen as permanent temporarily, but ultimately, this appearance is considered impermanent. In the appearance of the future life, it is considered that the retinue of Phya or Ishvara is permanent. The assertion of those who do not pierce the ears is also like that. Relying on the five secret fires is like this: when a person dwelling in the pure land manifested by the Buddha offers a butter lamp, from the appearance of the five wisdoms, arises...

Through subtle observation with clairvoyance, there are those who practice the five-fire asceticism, soaking sandalwood trees in sesame oil and burning their bodies by igniting five piles of flames. There are also those called "Fire-Cloth Wearers" who soak cloth in sesame oil, wrap it around their bodies, and then ignite it, burning their bodies. There are also those who practice the asceticism of the three-pointed spear, planting the three-pointed spear in the ground and jumping onto it to practice asceticism. There are also those who jump off cliffs or precipices to lose their bodies. There is also the practice called "Heretical Flesh-Eating," where they cut out mirror-sized pieces of flesh from their bodies, from their left and right arms and the crown of their heads. They place their bodies in a pit in the ground and allow carrion-eating creatures to devour their bodies. There are also those called "Heretical Animal Practice," who take on the appearance of dogs and practice heretical asceticism. The assertion of "agent" as the cause is: for example, just as a skilled carpenter makes different images of men and women and performs activities, they believe that Dharma and so on also perform activities through their own clairvoyance, and then are born into the retinue of Ishvara or Mahadeva. The tenet of taking "agent" as the path is: in this world, by performing activities such as building houses, in the next life one abandons one's body, and Ishvara or Mahadeva comes to greet one and allows one to dwell on the terraces of Mount Meru. The view of "permanence" representing meaning is: the meaning lies in declaring one's own permanence while completely annihilating other things. The assertion of "permanence" as reality is believed as follows: the meaning lies in considering the great, unchanging essence of permanence to be of uncertain nature. There is also the assertion that it changes in a temporary state: for example, the meaning lies in viewing something that is annihilated as permanent in a temporary state. The view of considering "cause" as permanent is: in the center of one's heart, there is an object of cause, its shape is round, its color is white, its size is like a bean, it is not produced from the cause of the father, nor is it created by the condition of the mother, but it is viewed as permanent. The assertion that "effect" is permanent is: cause is not permanent, mind is not a substance; effect is permanent, Ishvara or Mahadeva certainly exists. The view of considering "permanence" as the path is: cause is not permanent, mind is not a substance; effect
