The way of habitual practice, and the four: the places of error, the ways of cutting off, the ways of appearance of the door, and the instructions for determining the time limit. First: To look at the lineage of bindus without moving the eyes is looking. To meditate without distraction in that state is meditating. To act in the appearance of the lineage of bindus is acting. The stability of the wisdom of the sphere is the result. As it says in the Jeweled Box Adornment: "In that great state, the meaning of looking is the lineage of bindus. Although the appearances of phenomena are countless, the meaning of the nature of phenomena is only one. Ema, with the constant yoga of looking, look unchangingly at that meaning. That is also the body of the lineage of bindus, appearing manifestly but difficult to grasp. The very essence of wisdom, an example of dwelling unobstructed and transparent, like the stars and planets appearing in a clear ocean. Not in a time of sleep, but dwelling in a great variety of transparency. With the constant yoga of looking, if you are not distracted in that meaning, then there is neither sleep nor non-sleep. The appearance of day and the disappearance of night, there is no appearance of duality. With the constant yoga of action, if you do not separate from the essence of the lineage of bindus and the four times, it is the constant yoga of action. Even without the constant practice of self-awareness, the constant yoga of meditation arises. In all times and non-times, if you do not separate from the lineage of bindus, it is the constant yoga of meditation." Second, identifying the places of error: Again, in that (Jeweled Box Adornment) it says: "Emaho! In the constant yoga of looking, there are three kinds of errors. When looking at emptiness, one falls into the four formless realms. When looking at it as a real thing, one falls into the seventeen realms of the form realm, and becomes an inert thing. In the appearance of the lineage of bindus, if one strongly believes in permanence, then bound by great attachment, one falls into the places of the six realms. In the constant yoga of action, there are three kinds of errors. Thus, in all appearances, if one acts like a madman, one falls into the Asuras. If one acts with meaningless, rigid words, one falls into the view of the aggregates. In all appearances of the six senses, if one acts like a child, one falls into the state of the unstated. In the constant yoga of meditation, there are three kinds of errors, letting go..."
