The meaning of the vase is that in the vase of the heart, the self-born lamp abides like the sky. In between, the connection of the mouth is like the sky, connected by four lamps. Like the great outer sky, in the place of liberation of primordial purity, mother and child meet. When the nature of self-luminous Bardo arises, the vase of the physical body breaks. The spontaneously accomplished jewel penetrates the secret cavity, which arises from practicing the nature of the four lamps. Here also, summarizing, the names of the four lamps are explained. These four lamps gather in the arising place of ultimate truth, maturing into the far-reaching. Because the appearance of form is seen from afar, it is called "far." Its nature arises from wind, so it can move without obstruction. Holding the form of the distance, it is called "holding." Entering into colors and shapes, etc., it is the part of water, so it is called "of water." Because it pervades the realms of senses, lineages, and enjoyments, etc., it is in harmony with fire, so it is called "lamp." The thigle is the wisdom of the base. Although it appears, it abides in the wisdom of primordial purity, so its nature is spontaneously accomplished, free from elaboration, impartial, and beyond directions. Abiding in the wisdom of all-pervading, it is the unchanging base. Emptiness is the wisdom that appears as holding characteristics, because it is empty of the dharma that holds the self-nature of things. Therefore, emptiness appears in the manifestation of luminosity, like the wisdom of a mirror. Because there is no clinging to directions, factions, center, and edges, emptiness abides in the wisdom of equality. In the state of emptiness without partiality, all mental discriminations dissolve, and there is no stagnation in the wisdom of individual discrimination. Emptiness transcends effort, so it is liberated in the wisdom of accomplishing activities. Emptiness has not moved from the mandala of oneness, so it gathers in the wisdom of the dharmadhatu. Therefore, it is called the wisdom of non-elaboration. The lamp is the wisdom gathered by consciousness. On the nature of non-abandonment, it is free from boundaries, and it is the wisdom gathered by worldly consciousness. On the base, there is no need to abandon anything, and on the nature of originally pure, there is nothing to be adorned, it is the wisdom of consciousness gathered by transcendence. Because the uncreated, natural root is seen, it is the wisdom gathered by the knowable.

And, the wisdom gathered by seeing directly the luminosity of the powerful, and the wisdom gathered by knowing and seeing the objects and appearances, how they are and how many. The consciousness of the self-arising lamp of wisdom is: movement, memory, discrimination, and thought. Movement is of two kinds: the movement of wind and the movement of mind. The wind has already been explained. The movement of mind is of six kinds: with the movement of mind that seeks everywhere, it arises in the causes, conditions, actions, and results of different karmas and afflictions. With the movement of mind that determines, it moves in all internal and external things, thus arising as I, mine, other, both, and neither. With the movement of mind that ascertains, it thinks and moves on one and two, etc., thus entering and grasping oneself, others, appearance and emptiness, and all the distinct differences that are not mixed. With the movement of the mind's consciousness, for various different objects, with one consciousness, it thinks of various appearances, and makes mind two, etc. With the movement of the afflicted mind, it arises in the causes, conditions, essence, and distinctions of desire, dullness, hatred, attachment, clinging, ignorance, etc. With the movement of mind that holds onto the moving action, due to past, future, and present objects, and following movement, it accumulates the karma of samsara and various kinds of ripening results. Memory and the causes, conditions, and actions of various latent tendencies are many, and thus they are established. Some people think that it is enough to say just one "mind," but if they think that it is not appropriate to classify it in many ways, then it is enough to summarize it as one "mental event," and it is not appropriate to divide it into fifty-one, which is the same. Therefore, no matter how much classification and summarization there is, it depends on the parts, so there is no contradiction. The lamp of the completely pure sphere is the collection of the manifestation of light and body. That is, the pervasive blue color, which is the collection of five colors, is unchanging, and is surrounded by a vajra fence, so the vajra chain has no chance of error. In it, the body of light appears radiating light, and here it cuts through the bardo of the nature of reality, thus manifestly and perfectly awakening. The appearance of light extends upwards, radiates, and
