When the duration of two time periods makes the day longer and the night shorter. When traveling south, these two are reversed, making the day shorter and the night longer. Thus, the movement of wind increases and decreases by six hundred and seventy-five times, which is calculated on the basis of each time period. There are twelve months in a year, three hundred and sixty days, and seven hundred and twenty 'Samas'. If calculated with twelve time periods in a day, then in one thousand nine hundred thirty and a half and two moments, sudden thoughts arise. One thousand nine hundred and twenty-eight measures the wind that carries the measure of pure wisdom. Thus, five days, five nights, and half of day and night, are calculated in twelve parts. This is calculated at the time when day and night are equal, and it must be determined from the two equinoxes of autumn and spring. Regarding the calculation of the waxing and waning of the months themselves: The difference between yin and yang months is that six yin months have only twenty-nine days, while six yang months have thirty days. Therefore, a year is short by six days. If the month is taken as the dominant factor, then the middle of spring and autumn, when day and night are equal, can be understood by the difference of the remaining two and a half days. In the Vinaya Sutra, it is also used to calculate whether or not Uposatha can be held. Therefore, to determine the calculation of the wind, it must be combined with the external year and month, and divided by the time of day and night. Its realm is the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter, with twelve months appearing in sequence. If its rotation is not disturbed, then all phenomena will be stabilized. As the 'Refutation Treatise' says: Thirty days and nights are one month, and twelve months are one year. Seven hundred and twenty days and nights are complete, and three hundred and sixty days are one year. Days and nights are divided by yin and yang, and months have spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Each season has three months, carrying out the various activities of entering and emerging. Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Snake, Dragon, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig, these twelve zodiac animals promote the calculation of arising. Third, to conclude by determining wisdom and karma wind, it is divided into three points: Generally stating its rationality.

Separate explanations of functions. Determining the degree of transformation. The first part has a valid reality, and a refutation of that. The first part is that the body has channels, the channels have winds, and the winds flow as two types: wisdom wind and karma wind. The wisdom wind ripens nirvana, and the karma wind ripens samsara. Refuting the debate is divided into two parts: raising the debate and answering. The first part is, since what flows from the channels is merely the same, why do karma and wisdom transform separately? Or can it be divided into two different ways of flowing, if it is one, then it is not reasonable to divide it into two, because merely flowing is the same, so it should not only be one of samsara or nirvana. The answer is, even if merely flowing is the same, but because it has become the wisdom wind from the flow without deviating from the channel, therefore its function is comfortable, emptiness, and clear, so it is called wisdom wind. Because the position of the channel changes and deviates, it becomes the karma wind, therefore its function is various different conceptual thoughts and various unwholesome actions, as well as unclear, dullness, agitation, lethargy, and entanglement, etc., bad wind states arise. For example, just like a single son of a Vata tree, when he is angry he turns into a tiger, and when he is not angry he turns into a human. Merely the sound of awareness and the wind flowing from the channels of the body, although the same, but due to whether the channel deviates or not, knowledge can become wisdom, and what is not suitable becomes the tool of karma or affliction, so there is no fault. The second part is to explain the functions separately, divided into two parts: the functions of wisdom and karma wind. The first part is the four functions of the wisdom wind: from the perspective of the wind existing, it plays the role of the wisdom of the basic existence, even if it does this, no matter what appears, it will not change from the level of reality. From the perspective of appearance, it plays the role of the wisdom that holds characteristics, doing so, it will clearly appear as the respective lineages, bodies, wisdoms, lights, and colors, and will not go beyond these. Although it appears so clearly, but because there is no attachment to it, it is called wisdom. From the perspective of arising, it plays the role of the wisdom that gathers knowable things, doing so, it will accomplish the benefit of self and others without obstruction. Even if it does this, the action and the actor are not autonomous. From the perspective of flowing, it plays the role of the wisdom gathered by knowledge, doing so, it will destroy
