The teacher of the ladder, vessel, and summit, accompanied by light rays, is this: Through conceptual thought, recognize one's own nature, and by looking at self-appearance, the thread of light connects to the heart, this is the instruction for holding one's own ground. The house with eight doors is the eight doors of spontaneous accomplishment. The precious house is the secret space of spontaneous accomplishment, the precious, the original Kadag (primordial purity), the time when one firmly occupies the inner space as one. Going as prophesied is because in the sunlight of the thread, awareness does not change, the appearance of the five lights is like an umbrella, the chest of the degree of realization is open, the spear of wisdom is held high, and from the sky of self-appearance, the path arises, and one is completely liberated on the ground of Kadag. The fourth is, again in Rangshar (Self-Arisen), it says, "In the past, the place appeared pure," which means there is a castle with eight doors, and at the top of the castle, the lord, the boy, appears as awareness. There is a mother named Old Woman Limping, and in front of that place, there is a king named Sin Protector, Fame and Power, who has five sons. When the five princes went to play, the Old Woman Limping came to the front, crying sadly for butter. The five princes imprisoned her, which is a symbol. Then, going to look for the girl, she was also caught and imprisoned in iron, which is another symbol, the meaning of which is: In the realm of awareness where the place appears pure, at the top of the castle with eight doors, which is the door of spontaneous accomplishment, there is the awareness of the self-born boy, who dwells there together with the old woman, simultaneous with ignorance. The king is the root of afflictions, self-grasping. The princes are the five poisons of afflictions. Playing is the freedom of the five sense gates, using the five poisons of attachment and aversion as one pleases. The old woman being caught is ignorance being caught by the five poisons, the five poisons and ignorance being of the same essence, entering with the same taste. This is also what is said when the awareness of ignorance appears at each gate, encountering the five poisons. Going to look for the girl and being caught is because the essence of ignorance exists in awareness, awareness is caught by the object, wherever attachment and aversion arise and are bound, the essence there is awareness, and the reverse is ignorance, and if one recognizes it, one is naturally liberated. The fifth symbol is the way of reversing delusion, and again it says, "In the past, the place appeared as a pile of jewels," which refers to an old woman.

There was a precious jewel. Five thieves took it, and the old woman was afflicted with suffering. That's so strange! Then, chasing after the thieves, they went to a thorny place. The five thieves stole the jewel, and the old woman fainted. That's so strange! Then, the thieves were recovered from the thorny place, and the old woman woke up from her faint. That's so strange! Then, the daughter of that old woman, named White Goddess, said this: 'Has my jewel not been lost?' The five people said, 'The jewel has not been lost. Kill your old mother! If you don't kill your old mother, we won't give you the jewel.' That person killed his own mother, ate the flesh, drank the blood, gnawed the bones, and made her into nothing. The thieves gave the jewel. That's so strange! The meaning of this is: The place is Cittā, piled with precious jewels. The old woman is ignorance. The jewel is knowledge. The thieves are the five poisons. Being afflicted with sorrow is because knowledge is defiled by attachment and aversion, so one experiences suffering oneself. Chasing after them and cutting them off in the thorny place caused the old woman to faint. With wisdom, examining knowledge and its co-emergent ignorance, along with the delusions of the five poisons, now, in samsara, when circling in samsara, recognizing that ignorance is merely the habitual imprint of the five poisons. When the root of delusion is cut, knowledge knows its own nature, and ignorance naturally clears up. This is waking up from the faint after cutting them off. The five people are: because of recognizing one's own nature, wisdom arises. When asked, 'Has the jewel not been lost?' They said, 'Kill the old mother, and then we'll give it to you.' This means that when knowledge itself goes into samsara, one looks to see if one's own nature has deteriorated. Not even a hair's breadth has it deteriorated. It is seen as undamaged and unblemished. If this aspect of co-emergent ignorance of one's own nature is not abandoned, it will not be of any benefit, and one will still not be superior to a single mixed sound from samsara. Realizing that the five poisons naturally arise in oneself, when looking inward at one's own nature, when self-awareness arises, co-emergent ignorance clears up, and all conceptual thoughts are naturally liberated, therefore, the flesh is eaten, hatred is not abandoned, but becomes pure in its place. Attachment is purified, so the blood is drunk. Unknowing is purified, so the bones are gnawed. All afflictions disappear, and when looking inward at knowledge, when self-awareness arises, the five poisons that appear in external objects, along with co-emergent ignorance, are purified, and the time of finding the jewel of self-arisen wisdom from oneself. The sixth is, from self-appearance, "The Arrangement of Taming External Objects," in China.
