It is not the true essence. For example, to those with yellow eyes, a conch appears yellow. With the distinction of self-reversal, self and other are without certainty, free from extremes. Therefore, that is also not true. Or because the cause is definite and the result is definite, I become no different from the permanent. Isn't this something to be understood? What was said is the same as before. Thus. The fourth also states the assertion: The essence is impartial and unbiased, and can be transformed into any appearance. Second, refuting it: If the basis can be transformed, then the pure Buddha would also become impure delusion. Without anyone's effort, sentient beings would be transformed into Buddhas and liberated. Also, the result would become the cause, because it is the basis of transformation. Also, matter such as earth would become wisdom, and wisdom would become matter. Also, is the essence that is impartial transformed, or is something else transformed? If the essence is transformed, then the essence cannot be the basis, because it is transformed into a dharma other than the basis. If something else is transformed, then the commitment to transform the essence into anything is lost. Also, is the permanent transformed, or the impermanent? The permanent cannot be transformed, like space. The impermanent does not need to be transformed, because it has already been transformed. Also, according to the reasoning of the three times, the past and future have no object to be transformed, because they are unreal. The previous part of the present has ceased, and the later part has not yet arisen, because it does not exist. Because there is no definite object to be transformed, it is unreasonable to say that the basis can be transformed into anything. In that itself, it is said: What was previously said to be transformable, if one's own state can be transformed, then this is also equally uncertain. Because the result itself becomes the cause, there is no need for effort. Because of repeated transformations, how can matter be transformed by wisdom? Isn't this something to be understood? What was said is also the same. Thus. The fifth also states the assertion: The essence of wisdom is impartial and universally manifests, so anything can be affirmed. Second, refuting it: To affirm anything, is it affirming that the basis exists in it, or not affirming its existence? If it is like the former, then both the permanent reality and the impermanent reality would be established simultaneously, because the impermanent only exists in appearance. If the impermanent is established but the permanent reality is not, then the commitment to affirm anything is lost. Similarly

Here, samsara is effortlessly liberated, and those who are liberated are prone to relapse, because everything is acknowledged. According to the second view, there is the fault of acknowledging that even a rabbit's horn and the son of a barren woman can accomplish samsara and nirvana, and so on, without end. Therefore, it is said in the Kuti Sutra: "Those who are endowed with all acknowledgments, The Teacher has said in the past, These are merely the attractions of factions, To establish everything as being. Becoming a fault without end, Is this not also to be known? The Teacher's words are the same as before." So it is said. The sixth view also states the acknowledgment: it is believed that the essence manifests everywhere, and therefore various colorful appearances arise. Second, this is refuted: are these various appearances considered to be external appearances, or internal consciousness, or a combination of the two? According to the first view, just as colorful appearances manifest, there is also the fault that the single ground also manifests outwardly as many different things. According to the second view, the ground would become momentary like momentary consciousness; like many conceptual thoughts, the ground would also become like that; like consciousness being controlled by afflictions, the ground would also become like that. According to the third view, the ground would become both internal and external, the ground would become the object and the subject, and the ground would become the same side as the six consciousnesses to be abandoned. Moreover, it is unreasonable for the ground to be one sphere of reality, because it is a collection of many things. Regarding these and other faults, it is said in the Six Spaces: "The Teacher has said above that it is colorful, This is also incompatible with the doctrine, Whatever is the essence of that, that is the appearance, Although the results are different, the meaning is the same. It is diminished by the word 'many', Is this not also to be known? What is said is also the same." So it is said. The seventh view also states the assertion: the wisdom of self-arisen awareness is free from the extremes of existence and non-existence, so it is not even established as mere wisdom. From the perspective of the great sphere of reality free from elaboration, it is believed that it is not established anywhere. Second, this is refuted: if it is not established anywhere like that, and it does not even exist as mere wisdom, and it is originally pure, and there is nothing that can be established anywhere, then it contradicts the sphere of reality from which samsara and nirvana arise. If there is no wisdom, then there is no liberation for Buddhas and sentient beings, so it is unreasonable to be liberated from realizing the ground. If there are no subtle five lights, then there is no cause for the ground appearance to arise, so it is unreasonable for the ground appearance to arise from its nature. Sentient beings who are deluded without realization do not
