In the "Pa'a snying gi me long," it says: The vows of the Vajrayana, for example, are like the earth, the supreme basis for the arising of all things. Thus it is. So, from which of the "Secret King Tantras" do these classifications of empowerment and vows come? It is said that "Perfect Spontaneity," "Mirror of the Heart," "Complete Accomplishment," and "Self-Arisen" state that there are things to be repeated and protected. "Ornament of Jewels" says that it is half and half. "Misunderstanding," "Rosary of Pearls," and "Pile of Jewels" say that there is nothing. Although it is said, in "Misunderstanding" it says that all four have been completely pointed out, but the main thing is to represent extremely concise content with symbols. The third general meaning, extensively explaining the stages of the completely liberating instructions, is divided into three points: establishing the connection of meaning, determining the method of practice, and determining the actual meaning of the instructions. The first point is, in "Awareness Self-Liberation," it says: After the empowerment mandala is complete, the instructions should be widely imparted. And, in "Vajrasattva Mirror of the Heart," it says: Thus, after all the empowerments are complete, impart the instructions mentioned above. That is to say, without having received empowerment, one should not impart the instructions of secret mantra, because there will be the fault of revealing secrets to those who are not vessels. Moreover, one must ripen before liberation, and without ripening, one cannot be liberated. Just like an unripe fruit, even if pierced by roots, it is useless and will only cause harm. In general, no matter which secret mantra one practices, one must first undergo empowerment. In particular, according to the tradition of the Great Perfection, it is not possible without empowerment, so complete empowerment is very important. Explaining this instruction without empowerment will lead to the leakage of secrets, and there have been stories of some people being punished for this in the past, so future generations should not do this, but should cherish giving empowerment first. The second point is divided into two: practicing like a beggar, and practicing like a wild animal. The first is to pretend to be an ordinary person in a place where people are not recognized, relying on begging for food and clothing, and practicing as if knowing nothing. At this time, not boasting of one's own qualities to others is a sign of not being greedy. Not asking about the Dharma, gurus, and miraculous signs of accomplishment of others, and not admiring them even when seeing them.

Believing in one's own instructions is a sign of realization. Practicing like a wild animal means going to a charnel ground, a mountainside, or an empty valley, and abandoning three activities to practice. That is, abandoning all kinds of busy external activities and staying leisurely, so that the pulse becomes slow. When the pulse is slow, the wind and mind naturally become slow, and thoughts naturally cease. Stopping the activity of speech, staying without speaking, so that the unspeakable meaning naturally arises in the mindstream. Stopping the activity of the mind, not letting the mind follow the flow of various thoughts, but naturally abiding in non-thought. As it is said in the Prasangika: "With faith, abandon the mind of samsara, Make offerings to the lama and give. Cut off all connections of samsara, Abandon friends and stay alone." Third, establishing the actual meaning of the instructions is divided into two aspects: practicing with a mind that has an object, and practicing with a mind that has self-appearing awareness. First, as it is said in the Heap of Jewels: "These two kinds of gradual minds, Practice the nature of meaning. For those with minds that have an object, Show all the dharmas of meditation and what is to be meditated on. For those with minds that have self-appearing awareness, Uniquely show the methods of view." Second, it is divided into two aspects: generally explaining the meaning of definite numbers, and separately explaining the places of definite distinctions. First, as it is said in the Tantra of the Heap of Jewels: "The distinctions of those stages, Should be practiced in order. In the manner of the four lords, The nature of the four meanings should also be held. With the four kinds of objects and awareness, Cut off the continuum of arising that appears in this way. With the four kinds of methods of placement and instructions, Place awareness in a place without support. With the four intentions of that meaning, Distinguish the essence of all phenomena of appearance and existence. With the four kinds of time and individuals, Self-bestow on all dharmas. With the four key points of purification and liberation, Freely transform all afflictions. That which measures oneself, The four examples show confidence in one's own nature. Whoever becomes accustomed to these, Will completely grasp all the dharmas of wisdom. Obtain the great secret, the great seal." Thus, twenty kinds are explained. Second, condensing those into the four: view, meditation, conduct, and result, and practicing them, as it is said in the Jeweled Ornament:
